About the opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, collaborative, and resourceful Technical Product Owner to lead team priorities, product strategy, specify service features, and drive the timely delivery of new products. You’ll translate ideas into strategy and features, and oversee product development from start to finish. Success in this role comes from our culture, diversity, and dynamic distributed team. Job Duties
- Act as the product owner for several software services, maintaining visibility of the roadmap and its execution within the business unit.
- Create and execute product vision, driving towards specific business goals through customer experience.
- Work with senior management to develop product plans, solutions, roadmaps, and coordinate with cross-functional teams for delivery.
- Craft comprehensive user stories, establish objectives, strategies, and actions to solve customer problems.
- Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle from discovery to post-deployment support.
- Collect and analyze feedback from customers, partners, and teams to shape requirements and features.
- Ensure products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver value through tooling, education, and documentation.
- Coordinate release cycles and manage cross-team dependencies.
- Prioritize customer needs by working directly with them and internal teams to improve the product.
- Continuously expand skills by learning about new technologies and processes.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to simplify complex technical problems into understandable frameworks for support.
- Active listening skills with proactive sharing of context.
- Passion for understanding customer needs, data, and design to solve problems elegantly.
- Strong analytical skills using data to evaluate and challenge assumptions.
- Experience in product lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and technical concepts.

Qualifications Required
- 5+ years in product management within a technical or software development environment.
- Deep understanding of Telecoms, especially B2B platforms.
- Background in Computer Science, Business, IT, or related fields.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture, microservices, and API-first development.
- Self-starter, team player, results-oriented, able to work independently.
- Background in software development and program management preferred.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
The salary range for US residents is $106,470 to $118,300 USD; for Canadian residents, $98,370 to $109,300 CAD. Other countries vary. Range depends on location, experience, and qualifications. Tucows offers fair compensation and benefits. Learn more about Tucows Benefits.
