Our goal is to employ innovation and strategic thinking by capital project subject matter experts to deliver optimum project results.</p><p><strong>PTAG's vision</strong> is to help our clients become global leaders in the selection, planning, and execution of their capital and sustaining projects<em>.</em></p><p><strong>Our values</strong> include:</p><ul><li><strong>Safety: </strong>The safety of our employees, suppliers and clients is our top priority</li><li><strong>Collaboration</strong>: Creating true partnerships with our clients and service providers</li><li><strong>Leadership</strong>: Improving project performance through the application of best practices</li><li><strong>Accountability</strong>: Being accountable to our clients for every aspect of engagement</li><li><strong>Client</strong> <strong>Satisfaction</strong>: Delivering 100% client satisfaction on every project</li><li><strong>Integrity</strong>: Open and clear communication in every aspect of our business</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Location</strong>: Burnaby, BC</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Type of Employment</strong>: Full-Time</p><p><strong>ID# 6398</strong></p><p><strong>Role & Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Lead the <strong>review, update, governance, and execution</strong> of technical specifications and engineering standards related to water treatment infrastructure (pumps, tanks, filters, instrumentation, etc.).</li><li>Engage with internal SMEs, engineers, operations teams, and technical staff to both advise and <strong>drive implementation</strong> of revised standards.</li><li>Oversee the development, <strong>execution, and dissemination</strong> of updated standard specifications, guidelines, and templates used by consultants and contractors across capital projects.</li><li>Provide advisory guidance and hands-on execution support on version control, quality assurance, and compliance for technical documents and design packages.</li><li>Support the PMO's broader efforts to enhance delivery maturity, reduce rework, and improve the efficiency and quality of engineering deliverables.</li><li><strong>Execute and manage governance processes</strong>, ensuring alignment with corporate standards, regulatory codes, and industry best practices, drawing on experience leading governance and assurance programs at TC Energy.</li><li>Mentor or guide internal teams on adopting and embedding updated technical standards into capital planning and project delivery frameworks.</li><li>Act as a <strong>bridge between advisory and delivery</strong>, ensuring governance documentation, specifications, and assurance frameworks are both strategically aligned and practically implemented.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications / Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum <strong>10 years</strong> of experience in engineering, design standards, technical governance, or construction assurance, preferably in public infrastructure or utilities (water treatment highly preferred).</li><li>Degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.</li><li>Deep knowledge of technical specification development, governance, and control, including best practices, review cycles, and regulatory considerations.</li><li>Experience executing governance frameworks for specifications and standards, including updating control documents, QA/QC processes, and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions (CAN/U.S. codes and standards).</li><li>Familiarity with Canadian standards for water and environmental infrastructure projects.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to facilitate cross-functional engagement with SMEs, project managers, and operations personnel to build consensus and drive adoption of standards.</li><li>Strong communication and organizational skills, with a consultative yet hands-on approach to problem solving.</li><li>Experience working in a PMO or capital projects environment with a focus on execution of governance processes is a strong asset.</li><li>Previous consulting or advisory experience with municipal clients or in a regulatory compliance role is an advantage.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Why Join PTAG?</strong></p><ul><li>Opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing consulting firm.</li><li>Engage with industry leaders and participate in high-profile events.</li><li>Develop high-impact marketing content that showcases PTAG's expertise.</li><li>Competitive salary and benefits package.</li><li>Flexible work environment with opportunities for professional growth.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>PTAG is growing and seeking project professionals who want to join a fast paced, innovative, and team-oriented company.
