HCR Permanent Search is currently working with a top manufacturing company in Mississauga who needs to hire a Technical Writer for a 12 month contract. To be considered, you would need to know how to use Adobe Professional, Illustrator as well as SolidWorks or SolidEdge
This role is 100% on site and will pay up to $29/hr.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Technical Writing with a manufacturing company
- Proficient in Adobe Professional and Illustrator
- Proficient with SolidWorks or SolidEdge
- Experience reading mechanical blueprints or CAD Drawings
- This position may include occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. and carrying up to 10 feet.
Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality manuals that meets company and client standards
- Revise existing manuals or create manuals from scratch
- Verify all parts listed in the manual against engineering drawings
- To maintain the manuals database on the shared drive
- Work closely with other departments and share copies of manuals and technical data as required
- Able to read a CAD Drawing and convert the information to a manual
