Description
Develops, recommends, implements, and manages the technical architecture (hardware, software, database, and communications) used for all or specific applications in a large, distributed cross-platform environment.
Responsibilities include identifying relevant information and determining the environment for development.
General Skills
- Leadership experience in developing and implementing technical security architectures at the specified experience level.
- Extensive experience with at least two cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), enterprise security services, identity and database technologies, and network access protocols.
- Experience in structured methodologies for designing, developing, and implementing cloud applications.
- Experience in systems analysis and design in large secure environments.
- Knowledge of and experience with ITIL processes, guiding others using this methodology.
- Experience translating business requirements into solution needs, including developing data and process models.
- Awareness of emerging technologies and trends.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- A team player with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
- Understanding of information security principles, policies, and practices.
Skills and Experience Requirements
Required Skills – 45%
- Advanced knowledge in core security technology domains, including:
- Identity Access Management (Single Sign-On, Multi-factor Authentication, PKI)
- Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS)
- Data security services (Encryption, Tokenization, Monitoring)
- Network Access Control (Firewall, Security Groups, Policy Management, SASE)
- Security operation tools (Endpoint Protection, SIEM, SOAR)
Agile Project Delivery – 15%
- Experience working on agile teams, managing backlogs, user stories, sprints, and using Scrum methodology.
Architecture and Design Experience – 35%
- Developing solution design and architecture documents, using frameworks like TOGAF, gathering requirements, creating conceptual and detailed designs, and supporting engineering implementation.
Previous Public Sector Experience – 5%
Experience in the public sector is considered a positive.
