Job Description
As a Territory Manager for our Therma-Tru brand, you will have the opportunity to grow top-line sales within the Manitoba, Atlantic Maritimes, and Ontario territories. You will cultivate relationships with key and prospective distributor accounts to drive sales growth. The Territory Manager acts as the primary contact by establishing and maintaining relationships with key personnel within customers’ and prospects’ organizations, including executives, purchasing, construction, sales, architecture, design, and finance.
The ideal candidate will have experience in selling and knowledge of doors and building materials, be highly autonomous, and able to travel overnight approximately 4-6 nights a month. A background in growing and maintaining relationships through high-touch communication and knowledge sharing is essential.
This remote position is based in Toronto, ON. The salary range is CAD 98,000 to CAD 146,000, with a bonus opportunity based on territory performance.
Your Role
- Develop business plans and targets for market and channel growth.
- Manage existing customer relationships and cultivate new ones with distributors, dealers, and builders.
- Serve as the primary contact for escalation of issues by customer accounts or Segment Managers/Specialists.
- Collaborate with RMs on market pricing and product strategies.
- Work with R&D, Engineering, and QC on new products, competitor info, and quality issues.
- Train customers on TT products and value-added services.
- Present marketing, merchandising, and promotional programs.
- Assist in resolving service issues with Customer Service.
- Handle administrative tasks promptly, maintain customer databases, and attend trade shows as needed.
- This role also involves representing Fypon and Larson.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 5-7 years of direct sales experience in the building products industry
- Experience with distributors, dealers, builders, or contractors
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field
- Experience with multi-step distribution channels and sales forecasting
