Now with manufacturing presence in each of the key markets of Asia, Europe and the Americas, Birla Carbon delivers uniform product quality and consistent experience worldwide.</p><p></p><p><br />What We Offer:</p><p><br><br></p><ul><li>$33.33 per hour base rate</li><li>Opportunity for growth, training and advancement</li><li>Competitive health and dental benefits</li><li>Saving Plan Program</li><li>Company branded uniforms and jackets with laundry services</li><li>Safety boots and full PPE provided</li><li>Employer sponsored Education Assistance, Annual Gym Membership and Employee Referral Program</li><li>Shower house facilities on site</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p></p><p>The successful applicant must be able to perform the following tasks:</p><ul><li>Re-processing of non-standard product through a continuous process procedure.</li><li>Check and inspect tank levels</li><li>Check belts, dryers, conveyors, screens, motors and gear boxes to ensure safe flow of customer product</li><li>Clean screens, conveyors, magnets, dryers, slabs and product spills</li><li>Obtain and delivery in-line product samples to the lab</li><li>Complete required check list</li><li>Follow lockout/tag out procedures</li><li>Perform other duties as required.</li></ul><p></p><p>Requirements:</p><p><br><br></p><ul><li>Post-secondary education in an Engineering Technician program is considered an asset.</li><li>Forklift and Confined Space certification considered an asset. Training will be provided</li><li>Experience in a manufacturing or continuous process environment is considered an asset</li><li>Commitment to safety and the environment.</li><li>Ability to work in a team oriented environment.</li><li>Ability to take the initiative and to complete assigned tasks on time.</li><li>Excellent communication and organizational skills.</li><li>Highly flexible, proactive and self-motivated.</li><li>Strong attention to detail, analytical, troubleshooting skills, and ability to work well under pressure.</li><li>Ability to work in confined spaces</li></ul><p></p><p>Work <span >Conditions/Schedule:</span></p><p><br><br></p><ul><li>Able to operate basic mechanical tools safety and efficiently.</li><li>Able to work in outdoor weather conditions and ability to climb several flights of stairs (work at heights) on a regular basis.</li><li>Continental rotating shift work (ie, 2, 2, 3); including alternating weekends, nights (2-weeks days/2-weeks nights) and holidays.</li><li>Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.</li></ul><ul><li>Overtime as required</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><em>Birla Carbon is an equal opportunity employer, we are committed to an inclusive, equitable and accessible workplace.
