The <b>WSO Venture Capital Internship</b> is a <b>highly selective, off-cycle virtual internship</b> designed to help top students gain hands-on experience through structured training and venture-focused work.</p><p><br></p><p>We screen thousands of students globally to identify high-potential talent. Strong interns that are screened will have their profiles shared with our network of partner organizations, including:</p><ul><li><b>micro-VC funds</b></li><li><b>emerging managers</b></li><li><b>venture studios</b></li><li><b>accelerators / incubators</b></li><li><b>angel syndicates</b></li></ul><p><br></p><p>Only a limited number of interns are selected each quarter per geographic region, ensuring a high-impact experience and meaningful mentorship.</p><p><br></p><p><b>What You’ll Gain</b></p><p><b>Venture Capital Training (Weeks 1–2)</b></p><p>The internship begins with two weeks of structured training designed to build the core skills used in venture investing, including:</p><p><br></p><ul><li>VC fund structures and economics</li><li>Venture roles and sourcing workflows</li><li>SAFEs, convertible notes, and preferred equity</li><li>Term sheets (control + economics) and cap table modeling basics</li><li>Startup diligence fundamentals (market, product, team, traction)</li><li>Investment memo writing</li><li>Exit dynamics and portfolio math</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Top candidates who pass the training assessments advance to placement.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Venture Experience & Placement (Weeks 3–10)</b></p><p>After training, interns work directly with our partner network (micro-VCs, venture studios, accelerators, and angel syndicates) to support:</p><ul><li>deal flow and sourcing</li><li>market mapping and thesis research</li><li>competitive landscape research</li><li>startup evaluations and deal memos</li><li>diligence support and IC-prep style briefs</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Who Should Apply?</b></p><p>This program is ideal for:</p><ul><li>Highly motivated students (freshmen/sophomores not limited)</li><li>Candidates exploring <b>venture capital, startups, growth equity, or investing</b></li><li>Strong researchers and analytical thinkers</li><li>Students who want an edge in competitive recruiting</li><li>Quick learners who can write clearly and work independently</li></ul><p><br></p><p>No prior VC experience is required... performance in assessments and training matters most.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Additional Details</b></p><ul><li><b>Location:</b> Remote</li><li><b>Duration:</b> 10 weeks (virtual)</li><li><b>Compensation:</b> Unpaid (certificate + referral letter upon successful completion)</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>How to Apply</b></p><p>Submit your application now.
