Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, analytically-driven, and execution-focused Vice President of Product to lead the strategic direction, financial performance, and growth of our product portfolio. This senior role will oversee all aspects of product management and product development, and will be accountable for P&L performance across multiple categories — including Hot Water, HVAC, Water Purification, Protection Plans, and Emerging Products



The ideal candidate will bring a proven ability to blend customer and product insight, operational execution, and strong financial discipline to drive profitable growth and long-term value creation. Prior experience with recurring revenue business models a valuable asset.



Responsibilities


Strategic Product Leadership

  • Define and lead the company’s enterprise-wide product strategy across HVAC, water heaters, water purification systems, and protection plans.
  • Own and manage the product portfolio P&L, ensuring revenue growth, margin optimization, and ROI across all product lines.
  • Own and manage product continuity, working with various channel owners to deliver unit additions, while also managing customer attrition through insights & analysis, offers, and interfacing with customer-facing stakeholders to drive retention strategy
  • Own and manage pricing & offers across all product portfolios working closely with both Sales & Marketing to ideate, design, and take-to-market
  • Evaluate new market opportunities and lead cross-functional teams in the development and commercialization of high-impact product innovations

Product Development

  • Own and govern New Product Introduction (NPI) process, inclusive of both product line extensions and net new deployments to existing product catalogues
  • Evaluate new and emerging product categories; through product and market research, play a leadership role in defining the future product roadmap at Enercare
  • Implement structured governance for roadmap prioritization, portfolio reviews, and performance tracking across all product categories.

Business & Financial Acumen

  • Drive data-informed decision-making using customer insights, market trends, and detailed financial analysis.
  • Partner with Finance to forecast product performance, manage investment decisions, and build compelling business cases for innovation and enhancement.
  • Monitor product-specific KPIs, pricing strategies, and cost structures to ensure sustainable profitability.

Executive Collaboration & Team Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Experience to align product strategy with go-to-market execution and service delivery.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of product managers with a focus on accountability, analytics, and innovation.
  • Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, contributing to overall company strategy, planning, and operational leadership.


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive product management and product development experience, preferably in home services, HVAC, or recurring revenue businesses
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership role with full P&L ownership and accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow a complex product portfolio with both physical products and recurring revenue models.
  • Strong business acumen with deep financial literacy; proven track record of driving profitability, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Experience in mature, matrixed organizations with cross-functional influence and executive-level visibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field required; MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred.
