JOB OVERVIEW:
The Warehouse Team Member is responsible for assisting all customers in the warehouse with their product needs while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Maintain an organized warehouse
* Provide product expertise for all customers in building materials
* Greeting all customers in a friendly manner with 60 seconds
* Assist all customers in finding products and offering product knowledge to enhance their shopping experience
* Anticipate the customer’s project and suggest additional products to meet customer’s needs using the GQRT, customer service standard (Greet, Qualify, Recommend, Thank)
* Assisting all customers to load product into their vehicles
* Completing the daily cleaning and upkeep of the warehouse, including organizing product, price and product labelling & maintaining pallets and stock
* Keeping a clean and safe working environment for customers and employees
* Ensuring always in compliance with WorkSafe Standards
* Be proactively aware of all promotions and product availability
* Completing opening and closing duties for the warehouse.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
* A Passion for Customer Service with a “go above and beyond” attitude
* Demonstrates a willingness to learn about products
* Able to lift at least 50 lbs
* Detail orientated and strong attention to following safe work practices
* Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Previous warehouse, lumber, construction and/or retail experience is an asset
