Role Responsibilities

  • Ensure all tasks are performed safely and in compliance with applicable health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Adhere to safe work practices and promptly report any hazards or safety concerns to the supervisor
  • Procure materials with attention to cost-efficiency and quality standards
  • Create and manage purchase orders (POs) in accordance with internal guidelines and procedures
  • Handle both incoming and outgoing shipments, confirming accuracy, completeness, and condition of all deliveries
  • Maintain inventory through regular cycle counts, including boxes, materials, supplies, and stock items
  • Assist with packing outgoing shipments, occasionally involving minor assembly work
  • Prepare items for delivery by securing loads, protecting materials from environmental exposure, and ensuring proper documentation accompanies each shipment
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and departments via phone and email


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license
  • Familiarity with Oracle and WebHelp systems is an asset
  • Experience operating an overhead crane is an advantage
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a warehouse or similar environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach
  • Capable of prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently
