<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: <br /><p>As a Warehouse Associate & Backup Driver you will be supporting in various warehouse and driving responsibilities. In this hybrid role you will be responsible to arrive to work daily as per your schedule and duties includes acting as a backup delivery driver, being able to read small print of orders, correct selecting of product, accurately picking the number of pieces, putting away stock accurately in locations, and loading of delivery vehicles.<br />This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of driving and warehouse work.</p><p><br />Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m to 3:30 p.m. with availability to start at 5:00 a.m when required and willingness to work one Saturday per month.</p><p><br />Key Responsibilities</p><p><br />Warehouse Responsibilities:</p><p><br /> Consistently arrive to work as per scheduled time.<br /> Accurate and efficient loading/unloading of all materials from delivery and courier vehicles.<br /> Assist driving team, ensuring the on-time departure of all deliveries.<br /> Picking orders and quantities as per order<br /> Put-away product as per receiving papers.<br /> Accurate and efficient detailing and receiving of inbound material, re-stocking, and putting away of material<br /> Loading and unloading delivery and courier vehicles (as required)<br /> Answer phone calls when supervisors are unable to answer.<br /> Clearly and politely speak to customers in person or on the phone.<br /> Work with the supervisor team to ensure great communications, collaboration, and smooth responsibility hand-offs from one functional group to the other, (i.e., shipping, receiving, and counter Sales.<br /> Identify and communicate ways to improve warehouse holding capacity.<br /> Ensure inventory is kept neat and organized and maintain a neat and clean working environment<br /> Maintaining a professional, respectful and collaborative attitude towards customers and co-workers<br /> Participate in educational opportunities within the requirements of the position<br /> Compliance with all government and organizational rules, regulations, and policies (H&S, Operations, etc.)</p><p><br />Driving & Delivery Responsibilities:<br /> Serve as a backup driver using:<br />o Sprinter van (primary)<br />o 5-ton truck and boom truck (as qualified and needed)<br /> Ensure timely and safe delivery of materials to customers and branches<br /> Load/unload products with care and accuracy<br /> Maintain delivery logs and ensure vehicle safety checks are completed</p><p><br />Mandatory Requirements: <br /> Years of Experience: 1+ of warehouse and commercial driving experience.<br /> Education: High school diploma or equivalent<br /> Hardware/Equipment Experience: Experience using manual material handling equipment is an asset (e.g., hand trucks/pump trucks/dollies)</p><p><br />Qualifications<br /> Valid drivers license with clean driving record (DZ or equivalent an asset)<br /> Comfortable operating various delivery vehicles<br /> Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes<br /> Comfortable using or learning AS400 or similar ERP systems<br /> Forklift certification an asset (or willingness to train)<br /> Physical ability to lift and move materials (up to 50 lbs)</p><p><br />Nice to Have<br /> Experience as a forklift operator is an asset but not a full-time requirement<br /> Customer service mindset and strong team player<br /></p></p></p>
