They are seeking a skilled and industrious Warehouse Manager to oversee their Surrey warehouse and yard. This position will manage the day-to-day warehouse activities leading a team of employees to ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of inventory and movement of goods.<br /></p><p>The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, proven leadership capabilities and a drive to bring innovative continuous improvement initiatives to their department every day.<br /></p><p><strong>The Role:</strong></p><ul><li>With workplace cleanliness and organization in mind, you will work with your team to meet highest standard of maintenance and housekeeping of the warehouse during its day-to-day operations</li><li>Assign daily work duties to warehouse workers ensuring safety, service and productivity and reliability Requirements are met</li><li>Creating a daily schedule of expected inbound & outbound shipments</li><li>Provide training, support and direction to employees to ensure understanding of and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOP's)</li><li>Demonstrate leadership through effective teamwork and demonstrating a positive attitude</li><li>Organizing & completing monthly cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracy</li><li>Constantly looking for ways to improve the distribution and packing process and ensuring the team meets or exceeds quality standards</li><li>Overseeing order processing and ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment</li><li>Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods</li><li>Monitor department's performance, prepare reports for senior management, and offer improvements based on the metrics</li></ul><p><br /><strong>The Ideal Candidate:</strong></p><ul><li>5+ years hands on shipping, delivery and receiving experience as well as prior experience in a <span >supervisory/leadership</span> role</li><li>Post-Secondary education is an asset</li><li>Ability to collaborate and motivate within a team environment</li><li>Ability to identify various projects for improving the facilities and related systems</li><li>Knowledge of MS Office applications and experience with ERP Systems</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Strong organizational skills along with a sense of urgency and personal accountability</li></ul><p>JobID#16815968</p></p></p>Create Your Resume First
