Job Description

<p>We are looking for a <b>Warehouse & Materials Supervisor</b> to oversee the day-to-day operations of both <b>finished goods</b> and <b>raw materials</b> within our food production facility. This role acts as the key <b>liaison between the Warehouse and Procurement teams</b>, ensuring seamless inventory flow, accurate material tracking, and alignment between production needs and supply availability.</p><p>The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in warehouse operations, raw material control, and staff leadership, and is comfortable working in <b>freezer environments</b> while maintaining high standards of <b>Food Safety, Health & Safety, and HACCP compliance</b>.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Supervise daily warehouse operations for <b>raw materials and finished goods</b>.</li><li>Lead, train, and mentor warehouse team members, including new hires.</li><li>Conduct and oversee <b>inventory counts</b> and reconcile discrepancies.</li><li>Manage <b>movement and transfer</b> of raw materials between locations or production areas.</li><li>Track <b>raw material usage and reorder levels</b>, coordinating closely with the Procurement team to ensure timely replenishment.</li><li>Maintain accurate records, documentation, and paperwork related to material receipts, transfers, and finished goods.</li><li>Collaborate with the Procurement team to align on upcoming production needs and supplier deliveries.</li><li>Ensure <b>Health & Safety</b>, <b>HACCP</b>, and <b>Food Safety</b> procedures are consistently followed.</li><li>Monitor and maintain freezer and cold storage conditions for product integrity.</li><li>Support continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse and material handling operations.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>3–5 years of experience in a <b>warehouse lead or supervisory role</b>, preferably in the <b>food industry</b>.</li><li>Strong understanding of <b>inventory management systems</b>, stock rotation, and FIFO principles.</li><li>Working knowledge of <b>raw material handling</b>, <b>procurement coordination</b>, and <b>supply chain processes</b>.</li><li>Experience with <b>HACCP</b>, <b>Health & Safety</b>, and <b>Food Safety programs</b> (asset).</li><li>Ability to train and lead team members effectively.</li><li>Comfortable working in <b>freezer and cold storage</b> environments.</li><li>Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Proficient with warehouse software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).</li></ul><p></p>
