<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Accounting</strong><strong> & Payroll Administrator</strong></p><p><strong>Position Summary</strong><br />We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable <strong>Accounting</strong><strong> & Payroll Administrator</strong> to support daily financial operations and manage payroll processing. This role plays a key part in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting across finance and payroll functions.</p><p><strong>Finance Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Daily</strong></p><ul><li>Review invoices received in the Accounts Payable mailbox</li><li>Verify purchase orders for inconsistencies and confirm goods receipts (GR)</li></ul><p><strong>Weekly</strong></p><ul><li>Validate inventory by running reports and investigating significant variances</li><li>Review variance reports and follow up as needed</li><li>Review outstanding receiving items without POs and update comments accordingly</li></ul><p><strong>Month-End</strong></p><ul><li>Accrue invoices not yet received</li><li>Accrue temporary labor hours</li><li>Prepare payroll journal entries and process statutory payments (CRA, WSIB, EHT, etc.)</li><li>Review and forward credit card transactions to Terry</li><li>Process employee expense reports for Tiffany</li><li>Review utility invoices and prepare accruals if required</li><li>Perform balance sheet reconciliations</li><li>Review Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports to identify and resolve inconsistencies</li></ul><p><strong>Payroll Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Process weekly payroll for approximately 50–60 salaried and hourly employees using <strong>Paycom</strong></li><li>Process weekly payroll for approximately 10–15 temporary employees using <strong>UAttend</strong></li><li>Review payroll registers and resolve discrepancies with the corporate payroll administrator</li><li>Track employee accrual balances (vacation, personal, and floater days)</li><li>Document payroll discrepancies and provide updates during weekly payroll meetings</li><li>Ensure all payroll submissions meet required deadlines</li><li>Perform additional payroll-related duties as requested by HR or Finance</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in payroll and finance/accounting roles</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines</li><li>Familiarity with payroll systems (Paycom and UAttend an asset)</li><li>Knowledge of payroll compliance and statutory remittances</li><li>Strong organizational and communication skills</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>#ONDT #ondt<br /></p><p></p></p></p>Create Your Resume First
