The role involves operating asphalt rollers to compact hot mix asphalt to project specifications, ensuring smooth, durable surfaces. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a paving crew in a physically demanding outdoor environment.</p><p><br /></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Operate asphalt rollers (single drum, double drum, or pneumatic) during paving operations</p></li><li><p>Compact asphalt to meet project specifications, grades, and surface requirements</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with the paving foreman and crew to maintain consistent rolling patterns</p></li><li><p>Perform pre-operation inspections and basic equipment maintenance</p></li><li><p>Monitor mat temperature, rolling speed, and compaction quality</p></li><li><p>Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and Ministry of Labour regulations</p></li><li><p>Assist with general labour tasks on the paving crew as needed</p></li><li><p>Maintain a clean and safe worksite at all times</p></li></ul><p>Qualifications & Skills</p><ul><li><p>1–3 years of experience operating asphalt rollers</p></li><li><p>Valid driver’s license (G preferred)</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of asphalt compaction techniques and paving processes</p></li><li><p>Ability to work long hours, evenings, and weekends as required during peak season</p></li><li><p>Physically able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions</p></li><li><p>Strong communication and teamwork skills</p></li><li><p>Safety certifications (WHMIS, Working at Heights) considered an asset</p></li></ul><p><br><br>Duration:</p><ul><li>Temporary to Permanent</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>How to Apply:</p><ul><li>Apply & Receive offers NOW!
