You've built high-performance, diagnosed failures, or consulted on envelope details for years.</p><p>You can explain to an installer why the flashing sequence matters. Not "because code says so" because you can describe where the water goes when they get it wrong.</p><p></p><p>THE WORK</p><p>We build 3-4 story wood-frame multi-unit residential in Nova Scotia ( generally 90 mins within HRM ). Cold, wet climate. Envelope is where buildings fail here.</p><p>Spec translation: Review wall assemblies and details. Define exactly how WRB, air barrier, windows, and penetrations should be executed. Visual, demonstrable, plain language.</p><p>Crew briefing: Meet with the actual installers before they start. Walk through the details. Show them what you expect. Answer questions. No excuses later.</p><p>Certification: Verify work meets the standard you set. Your sign-off unlocks payment. If it's wrong, you say what's wrong and how to fix it.</p><p>2-5 visits/month during envelope phases.
