<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>As an Building Operator, you&#39;ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility.</p><p>As an <strong>Building Operator</strong>, you will:</p><ul><li>Inspect the building regularly to ensure all systems and equipment function correctly and efficiently.</li><li>Monitor system performance to identify and address potential issues.</li><li>Maintain and perform minor repairs to electrical and mechanical systems, UPS, generators, HVAC, Fire Alarm and critical infrastructure.</li><li>Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.</li><li>Escort/Supervise <span >Mechanical/electrical</span> Vendors onsite.</li><li>Keep accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with standards and policies.</li><li>Interact with the BMS and CMMS computer systems.</li><li>Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.</li><li>Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and support staff for seamless operations.</li><li>Be prepared for emergencies, providing expertise to minimize disruptions.</li><li>Improve operational procedures and implement best practices for data center efficiency and reliability.</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS </strong></p><ul><li>2-3 years experience working in mission-critical facilities (e.g., data centres).</li><li>Experienced in working with critical facilities in both union and non-union environments.</li><li>Strong understanding of <span >electrical/mechanical</span> systems, UPS, generators, HVAC; Fire Alarm Systems.</li><li>BES and relevant certifications are a plus.</li><li>Proven ability to promptly and effectively troubleshoot technical issues.</li><li>Detail-oriented, ensuring optimal system function and thorough maintenance documentation.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting heavy equipment, working in confined spaces).</li></ul><p><strong>Work Conditions:</strong></p><ul><li>Location: Markham, ON</li><li>Rotating shifts (10 hours each), including days, afternoons, and nights</li><li>$30-$38/hour (open to renegotiation based on experience).</li></ul></p></p>
