<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>Job description:</p><p>Little Galaxy is looking to hire a devoted individual with a positive attitude to work as a Site <span >Director/Supervisor</span> at our Mississauga location. The school follows the Montessori curriculum for children above 1.5 years and a regular program for the infants. The individual should have knowledge of both the programs to better assist staff and parents.</p><p><strong><strong>Qualifications:</strong></strong></p><ul><li>Degree in Bachelor of Education or Ontario Diploma in Early childhood education or equivalency or MACTE or AMI Casa/Preschool Diploma</li><li>Minimum 3 years of experience</li><li>Early childhood Administration & Supervisor program an asset.</li><li>Experience working in a multi-site environment an asset.</li><li>Must be able to work extended hours to participate in school activities, including parent evenings, Open Houses, concerts, and other school-sanctioned events</li><li>Current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)</li><li>Current Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C</li><li>Up to date Immunization Health Screening/Record (as per CCEYA guidelines)</li></ul><p><strong><strong>Responsibilities</strong></strong></p><ul><li>Responsible for ensuring that all legislative requirements are met</li><li>Follow the Child Care & Early Years Act Guidelines</li><li>Ensuring all Health department guidelines are being met</li><li>Keeping fire drill logs and ensuring all Fire Department guidelines are being met</li><li>Municipal by-laws</li><li>Occupational health & safety Act</li><li>Labor <span >relations/Employment</span> standards</li><li>Privacy laws</li><li>Prepare newsletters & bulletins</li><li>Offer tours of the site</li><li>Implement parent-teacher meetings</li><li>Address parent concerns</li><li>Ensure policies are being followed by the parents</li><li>Positive community relations</li><li>Attend meetings off-site</li><li>Network with community agencies</li><li>Access the changing needs of the community</li><li>Administrative duties</li><li>Manage Payroll and Fee submissions</li><li>Delegate tasks & responsibilities as and when required</li><li>Ensure classroom administration</li><li>Ensure Little Galaxy’s philosophy is reflected in the daily program</li><li>Organize field trips & workshops</li><li>Seek advice from other management staff</li><li>Responsible for providing up to date lists & requirements for supplies/equipment etc. on a monthly basis</li><li>Responsible for ongoing maintenance of staff</li><li>Responsible for maintaining and promoting professionalism</li><li>Ensure all staff performance reviews are completed on time</li><li>Provide ongoing constructive feedback</li><li>Provide support and guidance to staff</li><li>Co-ordinate supply staff & develop daily staff schedule & lunch schedule</li><li>Plan & implement regular staff meetings & assist staff in duties when necessary</li><li>Ensure staffing requirements are always met (holidays, sickness etc.)</li><li>Maintaining enrollment, updating centre projections bi-weekly</li><li>On-going communication with all the families</li><li>Maintain records of admission, withdrawal, vacation credit, waiting lists and any other pertinent items in the children’s files</li><li>Represent Little Galaxy to prospective parents, teachers, and the community</li><li>Host any events necessary for the families & children (like open houses, Birthday Barbeque, Winter concert etc.)</li><li>Meeting families’ needs</li><li>Have on-going interaction and communication with the families</li></ul><p><strong><strong>NOTE: </strong></strong>The above description reflects the general duties and responsibilities and is not to be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be needed for the position.</p><p><strong><strong>Requirements:</strong></strong></p><ul><li>Ability and willingness to attend events, seminars, meetings as required.</li><li>Support and participation in fundraising events and all other events</li><li>Ability to manage relationships with parents on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the policies of Little Galaxy.</li><li>Excellent leadership qualities</li><li>Ability to serve on various committees and boards as required</li><li>Ability to manage a large staff of teachers, support staff, and others employed at the center.</li></ul><p>Job Types: Full-time, Permanent</p><p>Ability to commute/relocate:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)</li></ul><p> </p><p>Education:</p><p> </p><ul><li>DCS / DEC (required)</li></ul><p> </p><p>Experience:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Supervisor: 3 years (required)</li></ul><p> </p><p><span >Licence/Certification:</span></p><p> </p><ul><li>Registration Number (RECE) (required)</li></ul><p> </p><p>Work Location: In person</p></p></p>Create Your Resume First
