<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><strong>Shop Manager – Manufacturing Operations</strong><br /><strong>Location:</strong> Mississauga, ON<br /><strong>Compensation:</strong> <strong>Up to $140,000 annual base salary</strong> (based on experience)<br><br> A leading manufacturing organization in the Greater Toronto Area is seeking an experienced <strong>Shop Manager</strong> to oversee day-to-day production operations, drive efficiency, and lead a disciplined, skilled, and safety-focused workforce.<br /> This is a high-impact leadership role ideal for someone who excels in planning, problem-solving, and building strong teams in a fast-paced shop environment.<br><br><strong>What You’ll Lead</strong><ul><li>Full oversight of shop workflow, including scheduling production to meet delivery timelines</li><li>Coordination between welding, screen, passivation, and shipping departments</li><li>Daily review and processing of work-order drawings</li><li>Inspection of incoming specialty or machined materials</li><li>Ensuring all equipment and processes are functioning safely and efficiently</li><li>Maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-driven work environment</li><li>Working closely with the Purchasing Manager, Supervisor Lead, Project Manager, and General Manager</li><li>Preparing shipping lists and ensuring timely completion of orders</li><li>Mentoring team members and developing future lead hands</li><li>Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across all departments</li></ul><strong>What You Bring</strong><ul><li>Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment</li><li>Strength in workflow planning, organization, and problem-solving</li><li>Ability to lead and develop a disciplined, respectful, and high-performing team</li><li>Strong communication skills and a collaborative, hands-on leadership style</li><li>Commitment to safety, efficiency, and quality control</li></ul><strong>Why This Role Matters</strong><br><br>You’ll be the central hub that keeps production moving—balancing people, processes, and priorities to ensure exceptional quality and on-time delivery.
