We offer a competitive salary, learning opportunities, and a range of benefits.<br> <br>The Position:<br>Neelands Group Limited is searching for a Construction Refrigeration 313A Apprentice (Term 3) to join our team at the Burlington, Ontario location. This is a regular, full-time union position with a full union compensation package.<br>  <br>Responsibilities:<br><br>Accurately measure and layout plan for refrigeration system installation in accordance with project plans and specifications.<br>Assemble and install commercial refrigeration or cold storage units, including walk-in coolers/freezers and rack systems.<br>Installation of refrigeration lines<br>Carefully read and interpret blueprints to ensure proper specifications<br>Measure, cut, and connect pipe to components and refrigeration systems using welding and brazing equipment<br>Assist in the commissioning and start-up of refrigeration systems.<br>Ensure the necessary materials required for the project are on hand and readily available<br>Handle, store, recover, and charge refrigerants safely in accordance with environmental and safety regulations<br>Safely perform pressure test once pipework is complete to test for leaks<br>Repair and alter pressure system if leak or damage is found<br>Maintain a clean and organized worksite, adhering to health and safety protocols.<br>Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration system issues (mechanical and electrical) under guidance or independently.<br>Support journeypersons in various installation and commissioning tasks.<br>Other duties as assigned<br><br>Qualifications:<br><br>Registered 3rd year refrigeration apprentice <br>Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in supermarket or commercial refrigeration installation.<br>Strong mechanical aptitude<br>Valid G license with a clean driver abstract<br>Ability to travel when required<br>Familiarity with COâ‚‚ refrigeration systems is considered an asset.<br><br>What you Bring to the Team:<br><br>A self-starter who is highly effective working independently and within a team<br>Flexibility, along with the ability to operate well under pressure<br>Strong problem-solving abilities<br>Ability to perform in a high pressure, fast-paced environment<br>A keen attention to detail<br>A positive, hands-on, "can-do" attitude<br><br>Why join Neelands? <br><br>Benefits<br>Pension<br>Competitive Salary<br>Paid weekly<br>Employee Assistance Program (EAP)<br>Professional Development and Training<br><br>Neelands Group Limited is committed to providing accessible employment practices that comply with Accessibility standards and regulations.
