<h2>Role Overview<br></h2><p>Rydel Franchise Group is seeking an experienced Contract Controller to lead a critical phase of our finance transformation. This role will be responsible for driving the transition from QuickBooks to Zoho Books, strengthening internal controls, and building scalable accounting processes across a growing, multi-entity franchise network.<br><br>This is a hands-on leadership role suited for a Controller who thrives in fast-paced environments and has experience stabilizing and modernizing finance functions while the business continues to operate.</p><h2>Key Responsibilities<br></h2><h3>System Conversion & Process Build<br></h3><ul><li><p>Lead the migration from QuickBooks to Zoho Books, including system configuration, testing, and parallel runs<br></p></li><li><p>Design and document accounting workflows, controls, and month-end close processes in Zoho Books<br></p></li><li><p>Partner with internal stakeholders and external developers to ensure accurate system implementation<br></p></li><li><p>Oversee a phased go-live approach, including completion of initial month-end closes for select entities<br></p></li></ul><h3>Internal Controls & Financial Governance<br></h3><ul><li><p>Establish and enforce internal controls, including bank reconciliations, segregation of duties, and approval workflows<br></p></li><li><p>Strengthen franchise-level financial oversight and monitoring<br></p></li><li><p>Identify control gaps and implement practical, scalable solutions<br></p></li><li><p>Support fraud prevention and risk mitigation initiatives<br></p></li></ul><h3>Month-End Close & Reporting<br></h3><ul><li><p>Own the month-end close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting<br></p></li><li><p>Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules<br></p></li><li><p>Improve close timelines and reporting consistency across entities<br></p></li></ul><h3>Team Leadership & Capability Building<br></h3><ul><li><p>Provide day-to-day leadership and technical guidance to an offshore accounting team (AP, AR, junior accounting)<br></p></li><li><p>Coach and mentor team members to improve accounting quality and process adherence<br></p></li><li><p>Support knowledge transfer and documentation to ensure sustainability beyond the contract period<br></p></li></ul><h3>Partnership with CFO<br></h3><ul><li><p>Work closely with the CFO to align on priorities, sequencing, and execution<br></p></li><li><p>Enable the CFO to focus on strategic finance, cash flow planning, and leadership-level initiatives<br></p></li></ul><br><br><h3>Requirements</h3><h2>Qualifications & Experience<br></h2><ul><li><p>CPA designation strongly preferred<br></p></li><li><p>8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller-level responsibility<br></p></li><li><p>Proven experience leading financial system conversions (ERP/accounting systems)<br></p></li><li><p>Strong background in internal controls, multi-entity accounting, and process design<br></p></li><li><p>Experience in franchise, multi-location, or complex operating environments preferred<br></p></li><li><p>Comfortable leading change and working through ambiguity<br></p></li><li><p>Hands-on, detail-oriented, and execution-focused<br></p></li></ul>
