DBG supplies high quality metal stamping & fabrication to the automotive, heavy truck and appliance industries. At DBG, we rely on the strength and experience of our Associates for our success.<br><br></p><p><strong>GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><p><strong>Tooling:</strong></p><ul><li>Design new stamping dies, robotic and manual weld fixtures, assembly fixtures and any other tooling required for production needs.</li><li>Design modification to existing tooling for continuous improvements projects.</li><li>Create BOMs and detailed drawings for all new designs.</li><li>Work with the tool room and outside vendors to answer any questions/concerns with new tooling designs.</li></ul><p><strong>Other Engineering Activities:</strong></p><ul><li>Responsible for maintaining accurate plant layouts.</li><li>Responsible for communicating part and drawing changes to DBG.</li><li>Complete special design projects as assigned.</li><li>Maintain and encourage a safe work environment and good housekeeping in the Engineering Department.</li><li>Adhere to company policies and procedures.</li><li>Adhere to IATF and TS procedures.</li><li>Promote and work as a team member in all situations.</li><li>Willing to work overtime as required.</li></ul><p><strong>TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:</strong></p><ul><li>Stamping Die Design ( 3+ years of Experience).</li><li>Robotic Weld Fixture Design (2+ years of experience).</li><li>Projection/Spot Weld Fixture Design (2+ years of experience).</li><li>Assembly Fixture Design (3+ years of experience).</li><li>Understanding of different material types, their applications, and cost.</li><li>Understanding of different fabrication techniques and where they can be applied.</li><li>Experience quoting tools would be considered an added asset.</li><li>Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (NX is a bonus).</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.</li></ul><p><strong>EDUCATION REQUIRED:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.</li></ul><p><strong>EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:</strong></p><ul><li>8 years’ experience in mechanical design.</li><li>Previous experience designing metal stamping dies.</li></ul><p><em>In compliance with Ontario’s Bill 190, we confirm that this posting represents a current, existing vacancy within our organization.</em></p><br><br><strong>About DBG Canada:</strong><p>DBG has been providing our Partners/Customers with manufacturing solutions for over 49 years.
