<p>Position:<br>Data Engineer</p><p>Location:<br>North York, ON (Hybrid - on-site Monday-Thursday)</p><p>Salary:<br>$30 per hour</p><p>Job Type:<br>12-month contract</p><p>What is the Opportunity?</p><p>We are looking for a<br>Data Engineer<br>to join a newly created 12-month contract role. This position will support large-scale retail and e-commerce data initiatives, working with complex datasets to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality data solutions that enable business and marketing insights.</p><p>You will play a key role in designing and maintaining data pipelines, optimizing processes, and ensuring data quality across cloud-based platforms.</p><p>Main Duties & Responsibilities:<br>- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.</p><ul><li><p>Develop and optimize data workflows using SQL and Python.</p></li><li><p>Work with Google BigQuery and cloud-based data environments (GCP).</p></li><li><p>Translate business requirements into effective data solutions.</p></li><li><p>Ensure data accuracy, governance, and performance across large datasets.</p></li><li><p>Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Document data processes, pipelines, and best practices.</p></li><li><p>Support ongoing enhancements to data infrastructure and reporting capabilities.</p></li></ul><p>Required Skills & Experience:<br>- Proven experience in data engineering, including pipeline and ETL development.</p><ul><li><p>Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.</p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery and cloud platforms (GCP preferred).</p></li><li><p>Experience working with large, complex datasets in a fast-paced environment.</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data quality.</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Ability to take feedback, remain agile, and adapt in a dynamic environment.</p></li></ul><p>Please send your resume in Word format to shannon.-<br>REFER A NEW HIRE AND EARN A CASH BONUS For details, click here.</p>
