Job Description
<p><h3>Job Summary</h3><p>Reporting to the Manager, Business Transformation, the Senior Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting SE to achieve overall performance targets and transition to new or improved operational solutions. Working in tandem with Operations, Information Services / Technology and other supporting teams, the Senior BA is responsible for identifying, planning and implementing technology- and process-based solutions in operations.</p>
<h3>Job Responsibilities</h3>
<h3>Requirements Gathering and Stakeholder Engagement</h3>
<ul>
<li>Collaborate with operational and technical stakeholders to understand business needs, objectives and use cases.</li>
<li>Participate in and facilitate interviews, focus groups, and workflow observations to identify pain points and elicit requirements.</li>
<li>Document functional and non-functional requirements for system solutions, ensuring sufficient requirements management and tracking.</li>
<li>Maintain business relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful implementations that enable system-wide improvements and sustainability.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Data Analysis and Reporting</h3>
<ul>
<li>Lead ongoing evaluations of operational processes through the analysis and interpretation of complex data and performance metrics, with the aim of recommending and implementing optimization strategies.</li>
<li>Build dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Excel, and others.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Process Improvement and Workflow Optimization</h3>
<ul>
<li>Map current- and future-state workflows using tools like Visio and others.</li>
<li>Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in operational processes.</li>
<li>Participate in process and quality improvement activities such as FMEA, Value Stream Mapping, and Root Cause Analysis to improve care delivery and reduce waste.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Project Leadership</h3>
<ul>
<li>Lead the planning, implementation, and execution of strategic operations improvement initiatives</li>
<li>Coordinate with cross-functional teams including administrators, clinicians, technical teams, finance and human resources.</li>
<li>Perform project management activities including developing and managing project schedules, managing project communications, and implementing risk mitigation strategies</li>
<li>Define key performance indicators to measure the success of initiatives and track data to demonstrate outcomes.</li>
<li>Support sustainability planning and ensure a smooth handover to Operations at project closure.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Solution Identification and Validation</h3>
<ul>
<li>Stay up to date on the latest advancements to automate and modernize systems and processes.</li>
<li>Participate in the selection of new / revised software applications, ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.</li>
<li>Perform quality assurance, including defining the test approach, developing test cases, and executing testing.</li>
<li>Support user acceptance testing (UAT) with end-users.</li>
<li>Document issues and ensure resolution prior to go-live.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Training and Change Management</h3>
<ul>
<li>Lead and participate in change management planning and execution of identified tactics to support solution implementation.</li>
<li>Create training materials and other collateral (e.g., job aids, etc.).</li>
<li>Coordinate and facilitate the delivery of training sessions across sites, including evaluation of training effectiveness to identify opportunities and lessons learned.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Degree in Business / Information Systems / Health Sciences or related field with supplemental business education is preferred (equivalent education and experience will be considered)</li>
<li>Minimum 3 to 5 years’ business analysis experience</li>
<li>Excellent problem solving and analytical skills</li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills, including cross-functional communication (experience with group facilitation is preferred)</li>
<li>Experience delivering training (in-person and virtual)</li>
<li>Certified Business Analysis Profession (CBAP) certification preferred</li>
<li>Project Management Profession (PMP) certification preferred</li>
<li>Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office applications</li>
<li>Experience with MicroStrategy, Power BI or other business intelligence tools</li>
<li>Strong teamwork orientation and ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams</li>
