<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: <br /><p>Dump Truck Driver Atlantic Road Construction & Paving</p><p><br /></p><p>Atlantic Road Construction & Paving is a large heavy civil construction company specializing in mass excavation, drilling & blasting, pipe & underground utility placement, concrete placement and asphalt paving. We are currently looking to hire reliable and experienced Class 1 or 3 Drivers to join our growing team as a Dump Truck Driver. Reporting to the Transportation Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for transporting construction materials to and from job sites around the HRM in a safe and appropriate manner.</p><p><br />Requirements:</p><ul><li>Valid class 1 or class 3 drivers license.<br /></li><li>Clean drivers abstract.<br /></li><li>3 years of commercial driving experience required.<br /></li><li>License permitting operation of manual transmission and ability to do so required.<br /></li><li>Ability to operate vehicle in a safe manner in all weather conditions.<br /></li><li>Must be reliable and punctual.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Check equipment before operating to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency components are in good working order.<br /></li><li>Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulation, and compliance.<br /></li><li>Communicate any unsafe conditions or accident/injuries immediately to the supervisor.<br /></li><li>Demonstrate continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes and work cooperatively to provide quality customer service.<br /></li><li>Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work as required.<br /></li><li>Keep detailed and accurate reports and documentation.<br /></li><li>Maneuver tandem into loading or unloading positions, follow signals from crew members as needed, check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.<br /></li><li>Operate equipment such as mobile radios and telephones to exchange necessary information to supervisors or other operators.<br /></li><li>Ensure that any debris caused by loading/unloading of equipment is cleaned up.<br /></li><li>Available to work Monday to Saturday (some Saturdays are required but not every week)</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>We Offer:</p><ul><li>Starting rate will be determined by experience.<br /></li><li>Medical & Dental coverage.<br /></li><li>RRSP matching.<br /></li><li>Friendly & respectful management team that will help you succeed.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><em>ARCP has an Employment Equity Policy, and we welcome applications from members of Designated Groups and the 2SLBGTQ+ community in occupations or positions where they are underrepresented.
