<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><b>Job Summary</b><br><br>Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data related to manufacturing of suction & oxygen therapy medical devices (flowmeters, suction regulators) and patient room furniture (overbed tables, mother baby equipment, casegoods, carts).<br><br><b>Core Competencies</b><ul><li>Self-motivated and have a hands-on approach</li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills</li><li>Able to work independently within in a collaborative team environment with limited supervision.</li><li>Able to effectively manage priorities and meet established deadlines; results-focus</li><li>Sound decision making and judgment capabilities</li><li>Able to adapt to changes quickly in a fast-pace work environment</li><li>Holds oneself accountable for project goals and deadlines</li></ul><b>Job Duties & Responsibilities</b><ul><li>The Engineering Drafting Technologist will work within a team of engineers and developers to perform one or more of the following:</li></ul><ul><li>Be part of the Drawing Team working on support of current products and new product development initiatives</li><li>Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data</li><li>Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets to support contracts and tender documents</li><li>Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data</li><li>Perform calculations and analysis under supervision</li><li>Write technical reports</li><li>Operate CAD and drafting workstations</li><li>Participate in design reviews for new parts and products when required</li><li>Assist in any other duties as required by the Drawing Team Leader and Engineering Manager</li></ul><b>Education & Experience Requirements</b><ul><li>College Diploma or Apprenticeship Certification in engineering design and drafting technology</li><li>2-3 years of proven relevant working experience in the area of engineering design and draft technology using SolidWorks (2024 or above) for 3D solid modelling and 2D drawing/detailing</li><li>Working knowledge of drafting standards (e.g., ASME Y14.5) and GD&T</li><li>Exposure to ISO quality systems (ISO 9001 or ISO 13485) and manufacturing environment an asset</li><li>Working knowledge of furniture design an asset</li></ul>For more information, please visit our website at www.amico.com*We respectfully request no calls or unsolicited resumes from agencies<br />*Only selected candidates will be contacted</p></p>
