Responsibilities include: driving a moving truck, protecting our customers&#39; property (furniture and home), physically moving our customers&#39; goods in/out of the truck, and delivering a great customer experience. You must have an above average level of <strong>Overall Fitness (Strength and Endurance)</strong>, be <strong>Friendly in nature</strong>, and be an <strong>Above Average Driver</strong> with at least 3 years of driving experience with a clean abstract (Commercial Truck Driver training is provided).</p><p><strong>3-Phase Training Program</strong></p><p>Our in-house training program starts with the basics and finishes with learning how to operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner. This process may take up to 2-3 months described below.</p><p>Phase 1:</p><ul><li>Padding, wrapping, and protecting furniture, floors, railings, and doorways</li><li>Disassembling and reassembling furniture using basic hand tools</li><li>Customer Service training</li><li>Staging and setting up furniture as per our client&#39;s requirements</li><li>Learning our basic software and company processes</li></ul><p>Phase 2:</p><ul><li>Communicating clearly with customers to understand their needs and exceed expectations</li><li>Completing digital paperwork, including invoices, timesheets, and inspections, using mobile apps</li><li>Collecting Payments from clients</li><li>Inventorying our customers&#39; furniture</li><li>Loading, stacking, and securing goods into our trucks efficiently and safely</li></ul><p>Phase 3:</p><ul><li>Safely operating 3-ton, 5-ton, and 7-ton trucks in residential and urban environments</li><li>Conducting daily pre-trip inspections and reporting mechanical issues</li><li>Accurately using E-logs (Samsara) and job management software (Jobber)</li><li>Leading and directing crew members on-site when assigned as Driver / Lead Mover</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>What We&#39;re Looking For</strong></p><ul><li>Valid Class 5 driver&#39;s license (or higher) held for at least 3 years</li><li>Clean driving abstract</li><li>Physical endurance to perform the duties</li><li>Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs</li><li>Comfortable driving large commercial vehicles</li><li>Strong English speaking and writing skills</li><li>Customer-first attitude and professional appearance</li><li>Willingness to work a flexible schedule with early starts and occasional out-of-town pick-ups and deliveries</li><li>High School diploma or equivalent</li><li>Legally able to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident)</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Pay & Compensation</strong></p><p><strong>Starting between $25.00-$31.50/hr</strong></p><p><strong>Base starting wage at $25.00/hr </strong>plus additional depending on commercial driving experience, class license, and previous Long Distance moving experience.</p><ul><li>+$2.00/hr Class 5 with 3+ years of commercial driving experience</li><li>+$3.00/hr Class 3 with air brakes & 3+ years commercial experience</li><li>+$4.00/hr Class 1 with 3+ years commercial experience</li><li>+$2.50/hr 3+ years long distance moving experience</li></ul><p><strong>Tip-friendly environment</strong> averaging an additional <strong>$24/hr</strong></p><p>(<strong>Advertised pay range</strong>: $25.00 $31.50 per hour)</p><p></p><p><strong>Benefits & Perks</strong></p><ul><li>Full health and dental benefits after 6 months</li><li>Paid training (experience not required)</li><li>Annual performance reviews and pay raises</li><li>Uniform provided</li><li>Year-round, stable work</li><li>Company events and a strong team culture</li><li>Clear growth path into lead, foreman, and operations roles (we promote from within and invest in people who show reliability, leadership, and pride in their work)</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Schedule & Work Details</strong></p><ul><li>Full-time (3550 hours per week)</li><li>Up to 70 hours per week for workers on Long Distance jobs</li><li>Flexible schedule that changes to accommodate our customers&#39; needs</li><li>Early start times</li><li>In-person, physically demanding, safety-sensitive role</li></ul></p></p>
