<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>Directly reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and responsible to the Maintenance Manager. Functionally responsible for maintaining all manufacturing equipment and electrical components at Almag Aluminium. As a member of the Maintenance team, openly shares knowledge and information including training of team members. </p><p></p><p><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p> The duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Electrician are detailed below, but not limited to the following:</p><ul><li> Accountable for all Electrical, Instrumentation Controls and plant equipment maintenance to ensure minimal downtime.</li><li>Work with minimal supervision in a safe manner maintaining a clean and orderly shop.</li><li>Respond to break-downs immediately and /or provide communication for repairs</li><li>Openly share knowledge and train team mates on equipment functionality and history, procedures, and drawing mark ups. </li><li>Coach Operating personnel on equipment capability, limitations and preventative measures to improve equipment reliability.</li><li>Troubleshoot and optimize various drives and instrumentation devices such as encoders, transducers and thermocouples within a PLC control circuit.</li><li>Size and run conduit and connect wires to various electrical equipment and plant components such as electrical disconnects, transformers, breakers and a variety of electrical controls.</li><li>Follow and take initiative as directed in PM program including improving the program itself.</li><li>Contribute ideas and input to support continuous improvement within our facility.</li><li>Be willing and able to repair mechanical issues independently when needed.</li><li>Monitor equipment performance, document and evaluate potential problems for root cause solutions and improvements.</li><li>Must communicate effectively with all plant personnel.</li><li>Comply with all ISO and quality related policies, procedures and system requirements.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><p><strong><span >Education/Experience</span> </strong></p><ul><li>Hold a valid 442a or 309 electricians license</li><li>Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a Licensed Electrician</li><li>High energy level, good creativity, self-confidence, time management and must be a team player</li><li>Training or experience in troubleshooting related industrial maintenance machine’s</li></ul><p><strong>Technical Skills/Competence</strong></p><ul><li>Experience trouble shooting and working with Allen Bradley PLC’s</li><li>Ability to read and work with electrical and mechanical drawings</li><li>Demonstrated comfort working with the Electrical Safety Code</li><li>Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical controls and PLC’s</li><li>Experience with welding and fabrication is considered a strong asset</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>We offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package that goes beyond base pay, supporting your health, growth, and long-term success:</p><ul><ul><li>Profit Sharing</li><li>Health & Dental </li><li>Health Care Spending Account</li><li>Education Assistance Program </li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP)</li><li>Company Events </li><li>Floater Days </li><li>Paid Holidays </li><li>Shift Premiums</li><li>Annual safety footwear reimbursement program</li></ul></ul><p></p><p>The expected pay range for this position is $38.96 – $43.83 per hour.
