<p>We at F Bass Inc have been crafting boutique basses out of Hamilton, ON since 1978 and we’re looking for a <b>Master Builder</b> to join our small but mighty team.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><b>Details</b></p><ul><li>Full-time position</li><li>Position available immediately</li><li>Competitive hourly wage based on experience</li><li>Health benefits + vacation pay + paid ‘personal’ days</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Main Roles:</b></p><p>Crafting custom instruments including;</p><ul><li>Blueprint and production sheet interpretation</li><li>Lumber processing</li><li>Multi-laminate and exotic top glue up</li><li>Body routing, shaping and carving</li><li>Neck carving and fretting</li><li>Rough and fine sanding</li><li>Quality control </li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Future growth opportunities may include:</b></p><ul><li>Product design</li><li>Research and development</li><li>Production management</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Requirements</b></p><ul><li>Must have 5+ years of lutherie and/or fine woodworking experience</li><li>Ability to operate shop machinery including bandsaw, disc sander, hand router, jointer, pin router and thickness planer</li><li>Experience with orbital sanders, balloon sanders, rasps and drawknives</li><li>Ability to maintain and troubleshoot machinery & hand tools</li><li>Keen attention to detail and the ability to problem solve on the fly</li><li>Must thrive in a team environment</li><li>AutoCAD design (Fusion 360) and CNC operation is an asset, but not mandatory</li><li>Certification in woodworking or lutherie is also an asset, but not mandatory</li></ul>
