<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Materials Handling & Warehouse Technician </strong><strong> </strong><br /></p><p></p><p>Department: Product Testing & QC<br />Reports to: Lead, Product Testing & QC </p><p></p><p><p><p><p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p></p><p><p>Ensure safe, traceable, and repeatable preparation, treatment, handling, and storage of materials used in Product Performance and Product Testing, including execution of defined treatment plans using lab mills and reactors. </p><p></p></p><p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p></p><p><p><strong>Material Identification & Traceability </strong></p></p><p><ul><li><p>Locate and retrieve materials designated for testing or treatment </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Verify material ID, batch/lot number, and test request </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Log material movement and status in the designated tracking spreadsheet/system </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Maintain chain-of-custody from storage through testing and return/disposal </p></li></ul></p><p><p></p></p><p><p><strong>Material Treatment Execution (Lab Mills / Reactors) </strong></p></p><p><ul><li><p>Review and follow approved treatment plans provided by Product Performance or Product Testing teams </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Load materials into lab mills or reactors per defined parameters (e.g., mass, residence time, speed, additives) </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Operate equipment in accordance with SOPs and safety requirements </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Monitor treatment progress and flag deviations or abnormalities </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Unload treated materials and prepare them for downstream testing or storage </p></li></ul></p><p><p></p></p><p><p><strong><strong>Digital & Physical</strong> Record-keeping </strong></p></p><p><ul><li><p>Complete required digital treatment forms (e.g., material ID, treatment parameters, equipment used, date/time, operator) </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Ensure records are complete, accurate, and auditable </p></li></ul></p></p><p><p><ul><li><p>Label treated materials clearly with updated identifiers and treatment history </p></li></ul></p><p><p></p></p><p><p><strong>Equipment Cleaning & Changeover </strong></p></p><p><ul><li><p>Clean mills and reactors according to approved cleaning procedures </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Prevent cross-contamination between materials and test campaigns </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Verify equipment cleanliness prior to next use </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Dispose of waste materials in accordance with safety and environmental procedures </p></li></ul></p><p><p></p></p><p><p><strong>Routine Equipment Maintenance </strong></p></p><p><ul><li><p>Perform routine maintenance tasks for lab mills and reactors (e.g., inspections, lubrication, wear checks) </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Maintain maintenance logs and report issues requiring escalation </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Coordinate downtime with lab scheduling and Materials Testing Manager </p></li></ul></p><p><p></p></p><p><p><strong>Safety, Housekeeping & Compliance </strong></p></p><p><ul><li><p>Follow all lab safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and PPE requirements </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Maintain 5S standards in material storage and treatment areas </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Support safety audits, incident reporting, and corrective actions </p></li></ul></p><p><p></p></p><p><p><strong>Required Skills & Training</strong></p></p><p><ul><li><p>Experience with industrial lab equipment (mills, reactors, mixers) </p></li></ul></p></p><p><p><ul><li><p>Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping discipline </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Basic mechanical aptitude for routine maintenance </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Safety training for lab and materials handling environments </p></li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Forklift certification is an asset </p></li><li>Ability to lift 50 lbs</li></ul></p><p><ul><li><p>Familiarity with Office 365 </p></li></ul><p></p><p><p><strong>Why Join Us?</strong></p><p>At Carbon Upcycling, your work drives meaningful progress toward a low-carbon future.
