<p>DSI is hiring for multiple roles within the organization as we look to strengthen our internal teams to meet growing project demands. There are various roles, all with the Microsoft Fabric skillset ranging from:</p><p><br></p><p>Intermediate Fabric Developer</p><p>Senior Fabric Developer</p><p>Principal Fabric Developer</p><p><br></p><p>For all roles, direct Fabric experience is mandatory. </p><p><br></p><p>Job Summary</p><p><br></p><p>The Microsoft Fabric Principal Consultant is a senior technical expert responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of end-to-end data and analytics solutions on the Microsoft Fabric platform. This role requires deep expertise in all Microsoft Fabric experiences (Data Engineering, Data Warehouse, Data Science, Real-Time Analytics, and Power BI) to deliver scalable, governed, and performant data architectures. The architect will act as a technical leader, advising stakeholders, defining best practices, and ensuring solutions align with business objectives.</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p><br></p><p><b>DP700 is preferred, but failing that, direct Fabric experience is mandatory.</b></p><p><br></p><p>• Solution Design and Strategy:</p><p>• Design and architect modern, enterprise-scale data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse and Data Warehouse implementations.</p><p>• Lead discovery workshops and collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable and sustainable data architectures.</p><p>• Develop architectural blueprints and roadmaps for data platform transformations.</p><p>• Implementation and Development Leadership:</p><p>• Lead the development of end-to-end data pipelines using Fabric Data Factory and notebooks (PySpark).</p><p>• Guide technical teams in implementing medallion architectures (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) using Delta tables within OneLake.</p><p>• Oversee data migrations from legacy platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, Amazon Redshift) to Microsoft Fabric.</p><p>• Governance, Security, and Optimization:</p><p>• Establish and enforce best practices for data governance, security, and compliance using Microsoft Purview and other Fabric features.</p><p>• Design and implement security models, including role-based access control, within the Fabric environment.</p><p>• Conduct performance tuning and optimization to ensure high-performance and cost-effective solutions.</p><p>• Collaboration and Mentorship:</p><p>• Serve as the subject matter expert on Microsoft Fabric, providing technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers, data analysts, and other team members.</p><p>• Collaborate with AI and BI architects to provide robust data infrastructure for AI/ML workloads and reporting.</p><p>• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation covering data architecture, processes, and procedures.</p><p>• Pre-Sales and Client Engagement (for Consulting Roles):</p><p>• Support pre-sales activities by leading client workshops, developing proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and creating technical proposals.</p><p>• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, effectively communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.</p><p><br></p><p>Required Qualifications and Skills</p><p><br></p><p>• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.</p><p>• Experience:</p><p>• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or business intelligence.</p><p>• Proven hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions using Microsoft Fabric.</p><p>• Experience in a consulting or client-facing architecture capacity is a plus.</p><p>• Technical Skills:</p><p>• Microsoft Fabric: Deep expertise across all Fabric experiences (Data Engineering, Data Factory, Data Warehouse, Data Science, Real-Time Analytics, and Power BI).</p><p>• Data Languages: Advanced proficiency in SQL, PySpark, and Kusto Query Language (KQL).</p><p>• Azure Services: Strong working knowledge of related Azure data services such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Databricks.</p><p>• Data Concepts: Strong understanding of data modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling), ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts.</p><p>• DevOps: Familiarity with Azure DevOps or Git-based CI/CD pipelines for Fabric deployments.</p><p><br></p><p>• Certifications (Preferred):</p><p><br></p><p>• Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600)</p><p>• Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP-700)</p><p>• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)</p><p>• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300)</p><p>• Soft Skills:</p><p>• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.</p><p>• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.</p><p>• Proven ability to lead projects and work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.</p>
