<p><h3>Overview</h3><p>Our growing team is looking for an <b>Optician/ Optical Sales Associate</b> who can work with us on a <b>full-time</b> basis at our <b>Individual Eyes</b> location in <b>Richmond Hill</b>.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Greeting patients in person, by telephone, or online</li><li>Booking/Scheduling appointments</li><li>Making recalls and cold calls to book appointments</li><li>Pretesting patients and other auxiliary tests</li><li>Choosing the right lenses for patient’s prescription</li><li>Helping patients choose eyeglasses and taking all necessary measurements</li><li>Repair, adjust and dispense eyeglasses</li><li>Trouble shooting in cases of non-adapt</li><li>Contact lens training</li><li>Explain procedures and costs to patients</li><li>Facilitate patient referrals to other healthcare professionals</li><li>Ensuring the office is billed properly for orders and proper credits are issued</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>College graduate or higher</li><li>Driver’s license, occasional commute to other locations</li><li>Minimum one year working in optical or optometry office</li><li>Excellent verbal and communication skills</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills, friendly and caring, outgoing personality</li><li>Customer service experience is essential</li><li>Confidence in cold calling</li><li>A born salesperson, someone who excels at sales and finds sales enjoyable</li><li>Must be proficient with computers and excel spreadsheets</li><li>Able to follow directions and take personal responsibility for actions</li><li>Must demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and in a team</li><li>Passion for learning and dealing with people</li><li>Able to follow through on tasks with attention to detail</li><li>Able to multitask</li></ul></p>
