<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: <br /><p>Role Purpose</p><p>The Product Engineeris responsible forbuilding, standardizing, and continuously improving drafting and engineering processesthat support scalable product development and manufacturing efficiency. This role bridgesdesign, drafting, production, and quality, <span >ensuringaccuratetechnical</span> documentation, controlled engineering changes, and disciplined process execution <span >acrossPermaCorpsproduct</span> lines.</p><p>This is ahands-on engineering rolewith strong ownership overdrawings, BOMs, change management, and cross-functional execution, rather than purely conceptual design.</p><p></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p>1. Drafting & Design Execution</p><p>Develop,maintain, and <span >standardizetechnical</span> drawings, models, and <span >assembliesusingSolidWorks</span> and/or AutoCAD</p><p>Create and manage2D and 3D drawingsto support fabrication, installation, and manufacturing requirements</p><p>Establish drafting best practices, templates, and naming conventions to improve consistency and efficiency</p><p>Ensure drawings aremanufacturing-ready, accurately dimensioned, and aligned with production capabilities</p><p>2. Engineering Process Development & Improvement</p><p>Design and <span >implementrepeatable</span> drafting and engineering workflows</p><p><span >Identifyinefficiencies,</span> gaps, or risks in current engineering and drafting processes</p><p>Leadprocess improvement initiativesfocused on cycle time reduction, error reduction, and scalability</p><p>Support transition from ad-hoc drafting to structured, documented engineering standards</p><p>3. Cross-Functional Project Coordination</p><p>Execute product design, research, and prototyping initiatives in collaboration with:</p><p>Production & Manufacturing</p><p>Quality (QA/QC)</p><p>Procurement & Supply Chain</p><p>Project Management</p><p>Coordinate multi-departmental development projects from concept through production release</p><p>Act as a technical liaison between engineering and downstream stakeholders</p><p>4. Tooling, Equipment & Manufacturing Support</p><p>Supporttooling, equipment, and process developmentto enable efficient manufacturing</p><p>Provide technical input to production challenges and design-for-manufacturability initiatives</p><p>Support continuous improvement efforts related to shop-floor execution</p><p>5. Quality, Testing & Root Cause Analysis</p><p>Work closely withQA/QC teamsto:</p><p>Investigate non-conformances</p><p>Conductroot cause analysis</p><p>Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)</p><p>Support testing activities and performance validation</p><p>Engage withcertifying bodies, testing partners, and third-party agenciesasrequired</p><p>6. Document Control & Change Management</p><p>Maintain <span >disciplineddocument</span> controlfor:</p><p>Drawings and models</p><p>Bills of Materials (BOMs)</p><p>Performance and test data</p><p>Process and executeEngineering Change Requests (ECRs)and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)</p><p>Ensure version control, traceability, and proper approvals are followed</p><p>Support audits and internal reviews related to engineering documentation</p><p></p><p>Qualifications & Experience</p><p>Required</p><p>Diploma or Degree inEngineering, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field</p><p>37+ yearsof experience in a product engineering or manufacturing-focused environment</p><p><span >StrongproficiencyinSolidWorks</span> and/or AutoCAD</p><p>Experience working withBOMs, drawings, and engineering change processes</p><p>Demonstrated ability to driveprocess improvementin an engineering or drafting function</p><p>Preferred</p><p>Experience inmanufacturing, fabrication, or construction-adjacent industries</p><p>Exposure toISO, CSA, UL, or other certification frameworks</p><p>Experience supporting QA/QC or structured quality systems</p><p>Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and document management tools</p><p></p><p>Key Competencies</p><p>Process-driven and detail-oriented</p><p>Strong technical documentation discipline</p><p>Practical, manufacturing-minded engineering approach</p><p>Cross-functional communication and collaboration</p><p>Comfortable operating in a growing, evolving organization</p><p></p><p><em>Disclosure: Due to the number of applicants, we make use of AI-driven software for portions of our review process, however all final decisions are made by people.
