<p><b>Job Description: Project Analyst</b></p><p><b>Position Title:</b> Project Analyst</p><p><b>Department:</b> Project Management Office (PMO)</p><p><b>Reports To:</b> PMO Head.</p><p><b>Location:</b> North York</p><p><b>Employment Type:</b> (Full-time / Contract / Hybrid)</p><p><b> </b></p><p><b>Position Summary</b></p><p>The Project Analyst supports the planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of projects within the organization. This role requires strong analytical capability, advanced data visualization expertise, and in-depth knowledge of project management tools and methodologies. The ideal candidate is proficient in Power BI, MS Excel, MS Project, OpenPlan, and digital collaboration platforms, enabling data-driven decision-making and streamlined project operations.</p><p> </p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><p><b>Project Analysis & Reporting</b></p><ul><li>Develop and maintain <b>interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI</b> to track project KPIs, performance metrics, schedules, and resource usage.</li><li>Perform <b>data analysis and trend forecasting</b> to support project planning and decision-making.</li><li>Build complex <b>Excel models</b>, including pivot tables, Power Query, advanced formulas, and data automation.</li><li>Prepare regular project status reports, executive summaries, and analytics presentations.</li></ul><p><b>Project Planning & Monitoring</b></p><ul><li>Support project scheduling using <b>MS Project</b> and <b>OpenPlan</b>, ensuring accurate critical paths, dependencies, and resource allocations.</li><li>Assist in monitoring project timelines, scope, risks, and issues, ensuring alignment with PMO standards.</li><li>Validate project data quality and maintain project documentation using PM methodologies (e.g., <b>PMBOK</b>, Waterfall, Agile).</li></ul><p><b>PMO Process & Governance</b></p><ul><li>Ensure adherence to <b>project management processes, methodologies, and governance frameworks</b>.</li><li>Participate in project audits, compliance checks, and continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Contribute to PMO templates, standards, and knowledge repositories.</li></ul><p><b>Digital Collaboration & Automation</b></p><ul><li>Manage project artifacts on <b>MS SharePoint</b>, ensuring structured storage and version control.</li><li>Create and manage project intake forms and surveys using <b>MS Forms</b>.</li><li>Build workflow automations using <b>Power Automate</b> to streamline repetitive PMO tasks.</li><li>Leverage <b>AI tools</b> for data insights, reporting efficiency, document generation, and project forecasting.</li></ul><p><b>Stakeholder Communication</b></p><ul><li>Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and track deliverables.</li><li>Support meeting facilitation, including agenda preparation, minutes, and action item tracking.</li><li>Maintain clear communication channels and escalate issues proactively.</li></ul><p> </p><p><b>Required Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or related field.</li><li>2–5+ years of experience in project coordination, project analysis, or PMO support roles.</li><li>Strong understanding of <b>project management processes and lifecycle</b>.</li><li>Advanced skills in: </li><li><b>Power BI</b> (data modeling, DAX, visualizations)</li><li><b>MS Excel</b> (advanced formulas, Power Query, pivot tables, macro-level automation)</li><li><b>MS Project & OpenPlan</b> (scheduling, resource allocation, dependencies, critical path)</li><li>Experience with <b>Microsoft 365 tools</b>: SharePoint, Power Automate, Forms.</li><li>Knowledge of <b>AI tools</b> for reporting, insights, and automation (e.g., Copilot, AI-driven analytics).</li><li>Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.</li></ul><p></p>
