<p>Job Title: SDET – Test Automation & Cloud Platforms</p> <p>Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada</p> <p>Experience: 1 to 3 Years</p><p>Rate: $48 to $52<br></p> <p>Role Summary: NearSource is looking for an SDET to support quality engineering initiatives for cloud-native platforms. This role focuses on automated testing, framework development, and collaboration with global engineering teams delivering scalable, enterprise-grade solutions.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Participate as an integral member of a collaborative engineering team focused on quality-driven delivery.</li><li>Execute end-to-end product testing, including requirements analysis, design reviews, test strategy formulation, test case design and execution, and defect tracking.</li><li>Develop and maintain automated testing tools and test suites aligned with business and platform requirements.</li><li>Perform software quality analysis and risk assessment across cloud-based applications.</li><li>Collaborate closely with software engineers, DevOps teams, and product designers across global locations.</li><li>Contribute individual technical expertise to support high-performing, outcome-driven teams.</li><li>Stay current with industry best practices and advancements in cloud application testing.</li><li>Propose cloud-related testing optimizations to improve reliability, performance, scalability, and resiliency.</li><li>Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and teamwork within engineering teams.</li></ul> <p>Must-Have Skills</p><ul><li>1 to 3 years of professional experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test.</li><li>Strong application testing capabilities across functional and non-functional domains.</li><li>Hands-on experience in test automation development.</li><li>Proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages, including Python, Groovy, or Shell.</li><li>Demonstrated experience designing and developing test frameworks.</li><li>Solid understanding of Scrum and agile development methodologies.</li><li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical discipline.</li><li>Strong problem-solving, analytical, and reasoning skills.</li><li>Ability to collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams.</li></ul> <p>Nice-to-Have Skills</p><ul><li>Familiarity with containerization and microservices-based architectures.</li><li>Exposure to public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.</li><li>Working knowledge of the Microsoft .NET platform.</li></ul> <p>Apply now, or share your resume with salary expectations at <br>Thank you for considering a career with us.
