With offices across North America and internationally, Equinox delivers practical, innovative engineering solutions across the full project lifecycle.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Position Summary<br /></strong>Equinox Engineering is seeking a Senior Civil / Structural Engineer to support the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering projects across energy and industrial sectors. This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer who enjoys hands-on design, problem-solving, and mentoring, while working closely with project teams and clients.</p><p>The successful candidate will contribute to projects from front-end engineering through detailed design and execution, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with applicable codes and standards </p><br />Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead and execute civil and structural engineering design for industrial, energy, and infrastructure projects</li><li>Prepare and review calculations, drawings, specifications, and design reports</li><li>Support FEED, detailed engineering, brownfield, and greenfield projects</li><li>Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams including process, mechanical, piping, electrical, and project controls</li><li>Review and check work completed by intermediate and junior <span >engineers/designers</span></li><li>Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members</li><li>Interface with clients, vendors, and regulatory authorities as required</li><li>Ensure designs comply with CSA, AISC, NBCC, ASCE, and other applicable codes and standards</li><li>Participate in site visits, construction support, and field reviews as needed</li><li>Support project delivery with a focus on safety, quality, schedule, and budget</li></ul><br />Skills, Knowledge and Expertise<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering</li><li>10+ years of relevant civil/structural engineering experience</li><li>P.Eng. designation with APEGA (or eligibility for registration)</li><li>Strong experience in industrial facilities and/or above ground pipelines, including foundations, steel structures, pipe racks, equipment supports, and buildings</li><li>Experience with brownfield modifications and greenfield developments</li><li>Proficiency with engineering tools such as STAAD, SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, or similar</li><li>Strong understanding of Canadian codes and standards</li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills</li><li>Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment</li></ul></p></p>Create Your Resume First
