You’ll play a key role in managing complex funding reports, preparing detailed financial analysis, supporting audits, and providing insightful forecasting that drives impactful programs across the GTA.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>What You'll Be Doing:</strong></p><ul><li>Lead preparation of accurate and timely financial claims and government funding reports.</li><li>Support financial planning and budget submissions for various programs and regional operations.</li><li>Analyze and reconcile complex program-based funding models, wage subsidies, and early learning initiatives.</li><li>Manage month-end close activities and prepare key account reconciliations.</li><li>Provide financial support for new initiatives and feasibility analyses of expanding services.</li><li>Prepare audit documentation and respond to external auditor inquiries.</li><li>Collaborate with leadership to improve financial processes and ensure compliance with funder guidelines.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>What You Bring:</strong></p><ul><li>Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.</li><li>Minimum 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience, ideally in a multi-program or funding-heavy environment.</li><li>Strong technical accounting skills and confidence working with financial statements, reconciliations, and budgeting.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (e.g., Sage, MS Dynamics, QuickBooks, etc.).</li><li>Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills – able to build trust with internal teams and external stakeholders.</li><li>CPA designation is an asset, but not required – full CPA support is available through an Approved Training Office.</li><li>Experience with government funding models or not-for-profit accounting standards (ASNFPO) is an asset.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>Why You’ll Love This Role:</strong></p><ul><li>Stable, mission-driven work with real social impact</li><li>Supportive team culture that values learning, growth, and collaboration</li><li>Access to full CPA support and ongoing development opportunities</li><li>Inclusive workplace focused on equity, diversity, and belonging</li><li>Hybrid flexibility: 1 day/week in-office (Thursdays) at a location easily accessible by public transit</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><strong>How to Apply:</strong></p><p>This is a unique opportunity to join a large-scale non-profit doing meaningful work across the city.
