We work at the cutting edge of technology to develop and commercialise superconducting quantum computers. The company is rapidly growing and has both hardware and software groups to achieve its goals.</p><p><br /></p><p>We are looking for aSenior FPGA Designerwith deep expertise in digital design and FPGA development to lead complex projects.<br />The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and verifying FPGA-based systems for high-performance applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and systems engineers to deliver robust and efficient digital solutions.<br />You will be working within our Quantum Control Electronics Team<br />to develop next-Gen of control electronics for large scale QPUs. You will focus on developing firmware and software drivers along with development of automation tools for debug.</p><p><br /></p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Design and develop FPGA architectures using <span >VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog.</span></li></ul><ul><li>Implement digital signal processing (DSP), control logic, high-speed interfaces such as JESD204B & JESD204C and network interfaces such as gigabit ethernet.</li></ul><ul><li>Perform simulation, synthesis, place-and-route, and timing analysis.</li></ul><ul><li>Integrate FPGA designs with embedded systems and microcontrollers.</li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with hardware and software teams to define system requirements.</li></ul><ul><li>Conduct verification and validation of FPGA designs using testbenches and lab equipment.</li></ul><ul><li>Optimize designs for performance, power, and resource utilization.</li></ul><ul><li>Document design specifications, test procedures, and results.<br /></li></ul><p><br><br></p><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Proven experience in FPGA design and development (3+ years preferred).</li></ul><ul><li>Proficiency in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.</li></ul><ul><li>Experience with FPGA development tools (e.g., Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, ModelSim).</li></ul><ul><li>Strong understanding of digital logic, timing constraints, and hardware debugging.</li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, UART, PCIe, Ethernet).</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to read schematics and work with hardware lab tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).</li></ul><ul><li>Experience with high-speed data acquisition and processing.</li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge of embedded C/C++ for FPGA-software integration.</li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, TCL) for automation<br />(preferred)</li></ul><ul><li>Experience with simulation and verification methodologies.</li></ul><ul><li>Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN).</li></ul><ul><li>Exposure to ASIC design flow is a plus.</li></ul><ul><li>Strong teamwork capabilities, excellent organization and communication skills.</li></ul><ul><li>Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada or hold an Open Work Permit</li></ul></p></p>Create Your Resume First
