Our client specializes in the design, development, and production of advanced mechanical and automation systems used across automotive and industrial sectors.</p><p>We are currently seeking an experienced <b>Senior Mechanical Engineer (P.Eng)</b> to join their growing engineering team. This is a full-time, on-site position offering the opportunity to work on a wide range of custom projects — from concept through to installation — in a collaborative, high-performing environment.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Lead the mechanical design and development of machinery, automated equipment, and material handling systems.</li><li>Conduct feasibility studies, research, and analysis on design concepts, materials, and performance.</li><li>Prepare 3D models, detailed drawings, layouts, and engineering documentation using advanced CAD tools.</li><li>Perform design calculations to ensure product safety, functionality, and manufacturability.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative engineering solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards.</li><li>Oversee and support prototype builds, testing, installation, and commissioning of equipment.</li><li>Review and stamp engineering drawings and documents as a licensed P.Eng.</li><li>Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, designers, and mechanical technologists.</li><li>Investigate and troubleshoot design issues or mechanical failures during production or field implementation.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Qualifications & Experience</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree an asset).</li><li><b>Minimum 5 years of experience</b> in mechanical design within automation, tooling, or manufacturing industries.</li><li>Proficiency in leading <b>mechanical design software</b> such as:</li><li>SolidWorks</li><li>AutoCAD (2D/3D)</li><li>Autodesk Inventor</li><li>CATIA, NX, or similar (asset)</li><li>Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining, fabrication, and assembly practices.</li><li>Excellent understanding of GD&T, mechanical design principles, and industrial safety standards.</li><li>Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Effective communication and leadership skills with a collaborative team approach.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Why Join This Team</b></p><ul><li>Work with a recognized industry leader in custom automation and precision manufacturing.</li><li>Opportunity to contribute to high-impact, innovative engineering projects.</li><li>Supportive and technically driven team culture.</li><li>Competitive compensation and long-term career growth potential.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>How to Apply:</b></p><p>Interested candidates are invited to apply with their resume in confidence to <b>bt@forgeconsult.com</b></p><p>While we appreciate all applications, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.</p>
