<p><b>Senior Platform Engineer – Istio / Ingress</b></p><p>Remote (Canada)</p><p>Contract</p><p><br></p><p><b>Role Summary</b></p><p>Join the Boundary Services team to <b>own the ingress and service mesh layer</b> for a large-scale, cloud-native platform. This role focuses on <b>Istio-based traffic routing, gateways, and reliability</b> in production Kubernetes environments.</p><p><br></p><p><b>What You’ll Do</b></p><ul><li>Own and operate <b>Istio ingress gateway and service mesh</b></li><li>Design and manage <b>traffic routing, retries, timeouts, and mTLS</b></li><li>Build and standardize <b>ingress patterns</b> for multiple teams</li><li>Debug <b>production traffic and gateway issues</b></li><li>Set best practices for boundary and ingress architecture</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Must-Have Skills</b></p><ul><li><b>Hands-on Istio in production</b> (IngressGateway, VirtualService, DestinationRule)</li><li>Kubernetes (EKS / AKS / GKE)</li><li>Ingress, API Gateway, and load balancers (ALB / NLB / AGA)</li><li>Cloud: AWS, Azure, or GCP</li><li>Strong networking fundamentals (HTTP, TLS, routing)</li></ul><p></p>Create Your Resume First
