Our success is driven by the knowledge, dedication, and passion of our peopleand we invest in their development every step of the way.</p><p><br /></p><p>About the Role</p><p>The Senior Site Superintendent is responsible for managing all aspects of on-site construction activities, from project catching to complete this role involved with the stakeholders including project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure successful project execution within specified timelines, budgets, and quality standards.</p><p><br /></p><p>Responsibilities</p><p><br /></p><ul><li>Collaborate with project managers to develop project schedules, milestones, and objectives.</li><li>Interpret and understand construction plans, drawings, and specifications.</li><li>Coordinate with various teams to ensure efficient allocation of resources and materials.</li><li>Oversee day to day construction activities, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and material deliveries.</li><li>Monitor progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet project milestones.</li><li>Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and building codes.</li><li>Address any issues or obstacles that arise during construction and propose solutions.</li><li>Supervise and manage subcontractors, ensuring they are following project guidelines and deadlines.</li><li>Hire, train, and manage on-site labour, including maintaining a safe and productive work environment.</li><li>Conduct regular meetings to communicate project updates and expectations to the construction team.</li><li>Perform regular inspections to ensure workmanship and materials meet specified quality standards.</li><li>Identify and address deviations from plans and specifications, initiating corrective actions as required.</li><li>Maintain open and transparent communication with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.</li><li>Prepare regular progress reports, documenting work completed, challenges faced and solutions implemented.</li><li>Assist in manging project budgets by tracking expenses, material costs, and labour hours.</li><li>Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality and safety.</li><li>Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines and budgets.</li><li>Develop contingency plans and strategies to mitigate risks effectively.</li><li>Interface with clients, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring overall client satisfaction.</li></ul><p></p><p>Qualification Requirements</p><ul><li>Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably ICI construction.</li><li>In-depth understanding, knowledge, and implementation of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act as it relates to each project you are responsible for.</li><li>Strong understanding and adherence to safety standards</li><li>Gold Seal Certified an asset.</li><li>LEED Accredited an asset</li><li>Computer literate, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project</li><li>Knowledge of Suretrak, Primavera P3 or P6, Procore, BIM Software, or E-Builder Project Management Software is an asset.</li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge of Lean Construction</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Interested candidates are to apply through the below website: </p><p><br /></p><p><span >https://buttcon.bamboohr.com/careers</span></p><p><br /></p><p>While we thank all applicants, only those under consideration for the position will be contacted.
