Job Description

Senior Staff Product Engineer (Hybrid Role)

Our client, a leader in advanced CMOS and BiCMOS data and video communications technology (25-400G), is seeking a Senior Staff Product Engineer to join their New Product Introduction (NPI) Product Engineering team. This team plays a critical role in the full lifecycle of new products—from concept to end-of-life—working cross-functionally to optimize test coverage, yield, product characterization, cost, and manufacturing readiness. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead programs, influence product design, and make a significant impact on high-performance semiconductor development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Design teams to optimize designs for manufacturability, testability, reliability, and efficient volume ramp-up.
  • Drive decision-making around the development or sourcing of new technologies with a focus on cost and manufacturability.
  • Conduct design reviews to ensure manufacturability and testability best practices are implemented.
  • Coordinate and contribute to test and characterization plans, ensuring alignment with Test Development and Validation teams for product compliance.
  • Lead product qualification planning, documentation, and reporting.
  • Perform capability analysis, margin analysis, correlation studies, and yield modeling to ensure robust product performance.
  • Optimize test coverage, test limits, and guard banding to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Provide technical leadership and actively participate in design and test reviews, ensuring high test coverage and quality standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with 3+ years of experience in Product Engineering, Test Engineering, or Hardware Design.
  • Proven experience improving yield, quality, and cost efficiency in semiconductor products.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, utilizing statistical and data-driven approaches.
  • Experience in manufacturing documentation, product qualification, and reporting.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a multi-project environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence both peers and senior management.
  • Experience working with external suppliers and subcontractors.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technical leader who is passionate about optimizing product performance and manufacturability in a high-impact, cross-functional role. If you are ready to take on this challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
