<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><strong>Senior DevOps Engineer</strong><br /> MacDonald Search Group has been asked by our <strong>technology / cloud-native software</strong> client to find a first-class <strong>Senior DevOps Engineer</strong> to join their team in <strong>Mississauga, Ontario (onsite)</strong>. The primary responsibility of this role will be to design, build, and optimize a scalable, secure, cloud-native DevOps and CI/CD infrastructure supporting next-generation, Kubernetes-based platforms.<br /><strong>Some of what you will do in this role includes:</strong><br /><ul><li>Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multi-repository environments using Jenkins, Bitbucket, and related tools</li><li>Build, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters and Helm-based applications across development, staging, and production environments</li><li>Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and/or Ansible</li><li>Develop automation scripts in Python and Bash to improve reliability and reduce manual effort</li><li>Manage containerization workflows, including optimized Docker image builds, registry security, and automated image scanning</li><li>Implement GitOps deployment strategies using ArgoCD</li><li>Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and/or Loki</li><li>Lead database migration automation and ensure schema versioning consistency</li><li>Integrate security testing (code, container, and dependency scanning) into CI/CD pipelines</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally to identify gaps, propose improvements, and implement best practices for scalability, reliability, and security</li></ul><strong>You should have the following in your background to apply:</strong><br /><ul><li>5+ years of DevOps engineering experience in cloud-native, containerized environments</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD)</li><li>Advanced CI/CD expertise, particularly with Jenkins and modern Git-based workflows</li><li>Experience deploying and managing workloads on AWS, GCP, or Azure, including managed Kubernetes services</li><li>Infrastructure-as-Code experience using Terraform</li><li>Strong Python and Bash scripting skills</li><li>Experience with observability, monitoring, and alerting platforms</li><li>Solid understanding of DevSecOps practices, including RBAC, secrets management, and security scanning</li><li>Experience automating database migrations using tools such as Liquibase or Flyway</li><li>Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment</li></ul> Pay band - $80,000-$100,000<br />If this sounds like a role where you could excel, please apply.
