<p><p>Merit Ontario is a construction association supporting small to large construction companies with workforce needs across Ontario. Our talent specialists provide recruitment services and customized solutions to find quality candidates.</p><p>Our member is looking to hire a <b>Stair Assembler</b> for their company in <b>Newmarket, ON</b>.</p>
<p>We are seeking an individual with experience in stair assembly/manufacturing (or similar fields such as cabinet assembly) to fill a full-time in shop position at our stair and railing company in Newmarket, family-owned and operated for 37 years. We manufacture and install custom stair and railing systems for some of the most prestigious builders and designers across the GTA and surrounding areas.</p>
<h3>Specific Duties & Schedule</h3>
<ul>
<li>Manufacturing of various wood stair components including treads, risers, stringers, etc.</li>
<li>Assembly of components into complete stair systems.</li>
<li>Maintaining a safe/clean work area.</li>
<li>Weekly day shift with overtime available.</li>
<li>8 to 10 hour work days.</li>
<li>Flexible start times between 5:00 am to 7:00 am.</li>
</ul>

<h3>Requirements</h3>
<ul>
<li>High school Education +</li>
<li>Stair manufacturing (or similar) experience is a must</li>
<li>Ability to read work orders and cut lists</li>
<li>Personal small hand tools (i.e., chisel, hammer, tape measure)</li>
<li>Driver's license</li>
</ul>
