By working at <strong>The Care Company,</strong> you will be part of a growing company that is helping seniors live well in their own homes!</p><p>We are looking for awesome <strong>Tagalog-speaking </strong>Personal Support Workers to work in Toronto with a client near <strong>St.Clair and Avenue in Midtown Toronto for ONGOING support on SUNDAYS with the possibility of more ongoing shifts throughout the week. </strong></p><p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Provide personal care to clients as outlined in their care plans.</li><li>Provide companionship and light housekeeping (whatever it takes to help a senior stay at home).</li><li>Prepare meals in accordance to the client and/or the family&#39;s request (must be open to preparing different kinds of cuisine). </li><li>Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs that is within the scope of practice for a Personal Support Worker</li><li>Assists clients in all activities of daily living/ hygiene assistance, bathing, grooming, linen changes and so forth.</li><li>Assists clients with transfers, ambulation and exercises.</li><li>Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly.</li><li>Functions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job description.</li><li>Completes records and documentations accurately and thoroughly.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Schedule</strong></p><ul><li>Set schedule, day shifts <strong>9am-7pm SUNDAYS</strong> <strong>** must be able to commit to this schedule on a</strong> <strong>consistent, on-going weekly basis for the foreseeable future</strong>**</li><li>client is looking for someone who will be with the long-term and can provide consistent care. </li><li>there may be an opportunity for additional ongoing shifts throughout the week </li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Must be able to travel outside of Canada as the client is looking to travel with PSW support. </strong></li><li>An asset if you own vehicle and have a valid driver&#39;s licence (not required)</li><li>Negative TB Test completed within the last year</li><li>Personal Support Worker Certification or International nursing/ doctorate Certification</li><li>Valid CPR/First Aid Certificate </li><li>Valid WHMIS2015 Certificate of Completion </li><li>COVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to Ontario’s <em>Human Rights Code</em></li><li>Valid Criminal Record Check - must be completed within the last year.</li><li>Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English</li><li>Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Designers when needed.</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p>**The Care Company can make <span >accommodations/modifications</span> for individuals with disabilities during the hiring and onboarding process.
