<p>The <b>Wash Bay Attendant</b> is responsible for the company's performance in terms of aiding with driver satisfaction and the efficiency in the Maintenance department. The Wash Bay Attendant is expected to be a team player and communicate with the Shop Supervisor and Yard Supervisor in a thorough and timely fashion. A professional attitude is a basic requirement along with a firm understanding of what constitutes good service to our drivers and co-workers. </p><p><b>Specific Responsibilities include:</b></p><ul><li>Wash trailers/tractors both manually and with automated equipment.</li><li>Thoroughly detailing tractor interiors.</li><li>Move tractors into and out of the shop and around the yard.</li><li>De-decal retiring trailers.</li><li>Performing winter start-up operations - thawing, boosting, and starting equipment in winter months.</li><li>Quick-checking trailers in our yards to capture defects before they go on the road.</li><li>Fueling trailers in our yards with pickup truck and slip tank.</li><li>Complete electronic wash bay logs.</li><li>Recognize and report faults or malfunctions on all company equipment.</li><li>Communicate status updates with Shop and Yard Supervisors.</li></ul><p><b>Our Ideal Candidate will possess:</b></p><ul><li>Previous experience in a shop service-related environment considered an asset.</li><li>Basic computer skills - spreadsheets and email.</li><li>Must be physically fit and able to stand for long periods.</li><li>Good time management & organizations skills.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills.</li><li>Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work independently and within a team.</li><li>Must hold a valid Class 5 Driver's license.</li><li>Willing to learn how to drive daycab/highway tractors with automated transmission and various heavy equipment (front end loader, forklift, etc).</li></ul><p><b>Please note this position is permanent full‐time and subject to a</b> <b>Continental Shift from 06:00-18:00.</b></p><p><b>This job is classified under NOC Code:</b> 75119.</p><p><b>Why Bison: </b> <br><br>• Thrive in a supportive team that provides coaching and training to help develop your skills and progress your career<br><br>• Dispersed work environments that promote a healthy work-life balance<br><br>• Meaningful and impactful work and projects with an essential service provider<br><br>• Join our engaging Wellness Program & extracurricular sports teams</p><p><b>About Bison: </b> <br><br>• Celebrating over 50 years in Business<br><br>• Active in giving back through Corporate Social Responsibility and Charitable Giving<br><br>• Committed to environmental sustainability</p><p>Bison Transport is committed to Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace. </p>Create Your Resume First
