<p><b>About Life's Journey Inc:</b></p><p>Formed in 2005,<br>Life's Journey Inc. (formally known as FASD Life's Journey Inc.) is a<br>non-profit Social Services Agency that provides support to individuals who are<br>impacted by neuro-developmental disorders, including Fetal Alcohol Spectrum<br>Disorder. Life's Journey strives towards a workforce that has fair<br>representation of the community that we serve.</p><p> REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: RESIDENTIAL COORDINATOR & CLINICAL CASE MANAGER </p><p>As a Residential Support Mentor, you will<br>provide direct support to those individuals within our Residential Program. </p><p><b>As a Residential Support Mentor, you will:</b></p><p>· <br>Understand<br>and familiarize with participant's care plans</p><p>· <br>Administer<br>Participant medications & PRNS as required</p><p>· <br>Assist the<br>participants during times of crisis;</p><p>· <br>Complete daily<br>general duties assigned to each shift in the residence; including but not<br>limited to: meal planning and preparation (cooking), maintenance of home and<br>premises (cleaning), </p><p>· <br>Maintain a close<br>working relationship with the Clinical team to ensure participant's needs are<br>being met</p><p><b>As a Successful Candidate you will possess the following Qualifications<br>and Experience:</b></p><p>· <br>Previous<br>experience working with individuals living with severe Mental Health</p><p>· <br>Previously<br>experience working with individuals who engage in substance use</p><p>· <br>At<br>least two years' experience in a related role </p><p>· <br>High<br>School Diploma or GED required</p><p>· <br>An understanding<br>of Manitoba Licensing Legislation and Regulations </p><p>· <br>Ability<br>to present a Satisfactory Child and Adult Abuse Registry check, satisfactory<br>Criminal Record Check (vulnerable sector search) and a satisfactory Driver's Abstract<br>and 5F Driver's License.</p><p>· <br>Hold<br>a valid First Aid CPR Certificate</p><p>· <br>The<br>ability to attend work regularly as scheduled or requested.</p><p>· <br>An<br>understanding or previous experience with Harm Reduction techniques</p><p>· <br>Strong<br>communication skills: Written and Verbal (English)</p><p>· <br>Ability<br>to build strong, positive and professional relationships with others</p><p>· <br>Demonstrate<br>cultural knowledge competence and participate in agency training for<br>development.</p><p>· <br>A<br>safe and reliable vehicle with proof of appropriate insurance on vehicle (at<br>least $2 Million, Third Party Liability)</p><p><b>We thank all those who<br>apply, but only those who qualify for an interview will be contacted.</b></p><br><br><p><b> </b></p> <p> Please visit our careers page to see more job opportunities </p>
