Job Description

<p>Accountable to the Senior ECG Technician and Leadership team, the ECG Technician will perform routine 12 Lead Electrocardiograms on both inpatients and outpatients. The ECG Technician will recognize and report abnormal findings, obtain patient histories and data. The ECG Technician will complete all necessary MUSE and technologist complete workflow associated with testing. They will Support training of students, new staff, and nursing staff. The ECG Technician will report issues with equipment, support Holter application when required and perform other duties as assigned.</p><p>1. Cardiovascular Technician diploma (or equivalent) with active membership  in good standing with Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT) or willing/eligible to become active member within initial year of employment. <br>2. Minimum of one year recent experience in ECG Lab with demonstrated interpretation skills preferred<br>3. Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in an interdisciplinary team environment<br>4. Demonstrated effective communication (written and verbal), organization and interpersonal skills<br>5. Demonstrated effective problem solving skills, critical thinking and the ability to prioritize in a fast paced clinical environment<br>6. Demonstrated initiative and judgment appropriate for the position<br>7. Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment and demonstrate behavior consistent with HHS Values Based Code of Conduct<br>8. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining and improving individual competence as well as contributing to the education and development of students<br>9. Demonstrated ability to perform venipuncture and specimen collection considered an asset<br>10. Cardiovascular Technician diploma (or equivalent) with active membership  in good standing with Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT) or willing/ eligible to become active member within initial year of employment<br>11. Demonstrated advanced arrhythmia interpretation skills preferred</p>
