<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: $72,000-$76,150 annually<br /><p>Humber River Family Health Team</p><p>CHIROPODIST JOB DESCRIPTION<br />Location: Dixon Site | Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent<br />Compensation: $72,000$76,150 annually<br />Benefits: Group RRSP, extended health and dental<br />Schedule: Monday to Friday, including 1 evening per week and 1 Saturday per month<br />Start Date: January 12, 2026</p><p><br><br></p><p>About the Organization</p><p>The Humber River Family Health Team (HRFHT) is a non-profit organization providing interdisciplinary, patient-centered primary care with the goal of optimizing individual and family health within the community.</p><p></p><p>We provide comprehensive primary health care, including chronic disease management, health promotion, and disease prevention, to a rostered population of patients in the northwest sub-region of the Greater Toronto Area. Our interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals works collaboratively to deliver high-quality, patient-centered, respectful, and inclusive care.</p><p><br><br></p><p>About the Position</p><p>As a key member of the Humber River Family Health Team (HRFHT), and an integral part of an Interprofessional health care team, the chiropodist will provide a full range of quality foot care to all HRFHT patients. The range of services includes active treatment of acute pathological foot conditions, surgical procedures, and preventive & palliative foot care.</p><p></p><p>Roles and Responsibilities:</p><p>Clinical Duties:</p><ul><li>Assessment of foot disorders or dysfunctions and treatment of the same, therapeutic, orthotic or palliative means.</li><li>Differentiating between disorders of the foot arising from systemic or general disease and those arising from local, structural and/or functional disorders.</li><li>Recognizing patients having conditions beyond their scope of practice and referring to other appropriate health care professionals (e.g. primary care provider).</li><li>Designing and implementing a management plan based on the presenting conditions and the patients individual needs. The Chiropodist will reinforce and encourage patient responsibility and participation in the management plan.</li><li>Communicating foot health education in a variety of settings to patients, Interprofessional health care professionals (IHPs) or other concerned individuals.</li><li>Ensuring appropriate antiseptic techniques, safe procedures and isolation practices are maintained in the clinical and/or surgical setting; and provide a safe environment for patients, practitioners and others in the clinic.</li></ul><p></p><p>Administrative Duties:</p><ul><li>Plans for future clinics ensuring that HRFHT clinical goals and objectives are met, and ensure that HRFHT mission and vision statements are at the core of service delivery.</li><li>Ensures safe working practices and that all clinical equipment is in satisfactory operating condition.</li><li>Maintains and upgrades knowledge and skills regarding new procedures, methods and equipment through attendance at relevant seminars and educational programs, prepares quarterly reports, and monitors daily statistical data.</li><li>Assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of chronic disease and health promotion and illness prevention programs and services.</li></ul><p></p><p>Reporting to: Supervisor, Clinical Services</p><p><br /></p><p>Qualifications and Competencies:</p><ul><li>B.Sc. and <span >licensing/registration</span> by the College of Chiropodists of Ontario.</li></ul><ul><li>Additional training or knowledge in the areas of chronic disease management and geriatrics is considered an asset.</li><li>Demonstrated clinical skills in assessment, program planning, implementation, and evaluation.</li><li>Work effectively, both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.</li><li>Proven flexibility and ability to adapt to change.</li><li>Computer skills.
