The ideal candidate is a warm and loving person who makes meaningful connections with those they are caring for.</p><p>The Human Experience Manager reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for implementing and sustaining the Butterfly-informed culture of emotion-based, person-centered care and living in the home.</p><p><strong>Wage Rate:</strong></p><p>The starting annual salary is $65,000.</p><p><strong>Vacancy: </strong></p><p>This is an existing vacancy.</p><p></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Advocate and be a catalyst for resident quality of life, identifying roadblocks and working with all team members to overcome them.</li><li>Role model person-centered conduct in every interaction - actively and positively influencing the conduct of others through the same.</li><li>Ensure the emotional well-being of residents is held as high as clinical outcomes, employing appropriate risk management methods.</li><li>Train all team members (managers and frontline) in the culture of emotion-based, person-centered care and help grow team membersâ competencies.</li><li>Gauge the well-being of team members and advocate for the same, identifying roadblocks and working with all team members to overcome them.</li><li>Partner with Residentsâ and Family Councils, other committees within the home, and all third-party caregivers to advance resident quality of life.</li><li>Nurture and mentor Butterfly (or Human Experience) Champions as these take foot in our homes.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p>The qualifications needed to join our family are as follows:</p><ul><li>Prior experience as a Butterfly Implementation Project Leader - or a peer in the accredited Butterfly home who has demonstrated active involvement and knowledge during the project.</li><li>Demonstrated understanding of Quality of Interactions Schedule (QUIS) techniques and emotion-based, person-centred role modelling.</li><li>Experience and background in social services and/or recreation.</li><li>Social Worker degree or Recreational diploma - or equivalent.</li><li>High energy individual, able to influence others by example and personal leadership.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to:</li><li>Work to an approved plan, organize associated activities without supervisor prompts, and execute them with limited supervision involvement and close team member collaboration.</li><li>Coordinate Home Leadership team and frontline team members to meet accreditation project timelines and deliverables.</li><li>Role model emotion-based, person- centeredness towards residents and team members.</li><li>Train audiences regarding MCM Butterfly training materials and all associated content.</li><li>Escalate concerns on an as-needed and timely basis, with consideration as to how to address the same.</li><li>Perform emotional risk assessments using the MCM framework, working collaboratively with all required parties.</li><li>Exercise emotional maturity and intelligence, as required by the role.</li><li>Accurately self-assess areas of personal strength and opportunity - take action on the latter, including by coaching and mentoring relations. </li><li>Must provide a complete and current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one.</li><li>As a condition of employment, candidates are required to submit documented results of TB testing (within the last six months or within 14 days upon hire) or a chest X-ray (within the last year), as per Public Health requirements.</li><li>Two supervisory references are required.</li><li>Provide proof of all required vaccines. The Employer strongly recommends to âstay up to dateâ with the recommended vaccines.
